Catching Up...

Whew...what a whirlwind - sorry about the hiatus - first it was Colorado trip (pictures below) - various other things - visits - illness - surgery - etc - and then I was gone for a week in San Diego for work and then Heidi was sick and now it's Thursday and it seems like forever since I have posted... so here it goes!

We had Dick and Bev visit us briefly - which caused the family to come together for a quick gathering...

It was so nice and my mom and Darrell have the best driveway to play in - shooting hoops, running around and the whole time - Heidi in her glasses...

Yes - all three kids sit at a kids table - I love it!!!

Heidi and Kendall are SOOOO cute together - who knew a box could be so much fun!

Colorado!!! We took a family vacation - hopefully the first of many to Colorado - for part of the trip we rented a cabin and the rest was at Fort Collins - loved it...
Heidi's first Coach purse - before you groan and judge - it was purchased at the outlet for 1/10 the cost and come on - its CUTE!!! I myself got an awesome new bag for soooo cheap!!!!

Now this is for the parents - who ask a billion questions on what our cabin looked like - so don't make fun of me - but here are our living quarters - two bedroom - plenty of room - honestly two groups could live in there - like our closet was big enough to be Heidi's room... It was really nice and I would recommend it to anyone!!!

Look at the steaks Chris cooked up... soooo gooooooooooddddddddddddd.....yummy!
Now if you know me - you know I love Chick-fil-A - and I was able to have it THREE times on vacation - pretty good for 5 days... Here is Heidi playing in their playground...

We took a day and drove around the Rocky Mountains - SOOOO pretty and peaceful... We saw a lot of wild life and very close up...love it...

Some funny things - we get to the highest point we can go and I have to use the restroom - well its snow packed - finally get in there and there is freakin snow around the toilet - I'm slipping and sliding - man - so mental note - go potty before you enter the National Forest...

We decided to hike a little bit for fun - and Chris insisted to bring the stroller...which didn't quite work! hahahahaha

Senior pictures time - just being stupid - hehehehe

Look what we taught Heidi - I'm so proud!!

So we went to the local park area which was really nice - and I put Chris to test most of the equipment - like this thingy - it looked like a seat on a crooked stand - what is it - convinced him to sit and well what do you know - it spins - that was fun...well for me at least! hehe

Heidi was cute running around and swinging...

You remember the merry-go-rounds or whatever you call them - remember when you use to stick someone on and spin and spin and not let them off - EVEN funnier when they are older... :)

We took a brewery tour of New Beligum Brewery and had a blast - one thing you may know about me - I'm not a huge fan of beer - vodka and I are friends - but beer - not so much - but Chris is a HUGE fan - hence the kegorator in our basement - anyways - so on the tour I did not partake in the samples - Chris drank mine... and you get 6 per person on the tour - plus two free ones in the bar... do the math... ANYWAYS... in the tour...

Yes Heidi went along and she was surprisingly - great. At the end of the tour there is a slide, I forget its an adult slide - but I thought Heidi would enjoy it - I seriously think it was the fastest slide I have ever been on - seriously! I have the skinned elbow to prove it! Heidi was undecided - but it was a nice touch at the end!

Okay you vote - which one is the better ranger - Chris or Heidi - hehehehehehe

Daddy was inside buying posters, drinking beer and who knows what else - but Heidi and I were playing outside - it was beautiful out and so peaceful. If you notice the bikes in the back - you know a bike is sort of a mascot of New Belgium - well after a year working there you get a bike and there is a special designed bike for each year - kinda cool. Also what brewery has hula-hoops outside for anyone - well they do... fun fun fun!

Heidi didn't want to leave - she loved the campus - she sat on a fence post and was teasing us that she wasn't going to come along...love it!!!

I could honestly live in Fort Collins...hmmmmmm

Random - not saying I lose track of Heidi - but if I would - I bet this is where you can find her - sitting in the chair - reading books - soooo cute!

Random - it has been forecasted that this summer we should expect some bad storms our way - tornados and whatnot - but one thing about storms - is it sure keeps the skys interesting - right out our backdoor - how beautiful...

Heidi is growing sooo fast...and such a character...we have started to potty train and have several potties and one successful poop - yes its the little things in life that entertain us! Memorial weekend will be the boot camp for potty training. Some may think a little soon - but she knows what it is and wants to do it - its mainly because of daycare, she had a bully, yes - a little boy bully - he would bite her, scratch her, throw toys at her - whenever they were together she came back with a new injury - so we decided to move her up a grade in daycare - and she is doing great! She isn't behind in anything....except - she is the only one in diapers... so we are on top of training - wish us luck - I'm sure I will post about it!

Almost 2...
