Memorial Weekend

 

It was time for our Sunday of Memorial Weekend BBQ! We knew this time might be slightly different as now most of our friends had graduation parties to attend or even throwing a party themselves. I predicted that people would come later than normal, and most people did not show up until 6:45-7:15. But we kept the party going well past midnight! It was fun, and had about 70 people at our house. I did not take very many photos as I tend to just want to enjoy myself or be busy doing party prep things. So random, mostly meat pictures...

We had ribs, pork butt, sausage, hot dogs, potatoes salad, mac n cheese, corn, buffalo chicken dip, cookies and more!

Poor Leona (Lucy's friend) walked, hilariously, straight forward into our screen door and jammed it. It was very entertaining - she is totally okay, and the door survived. 

The dogs actually did pretty well, but were very very tired.

Heidi, Lucy, and Ashley - getting so grown up! We've known each other since KinderCare daycare! 

Another party, maybe even our last one, in the books. Heidi wants a graduation party, and I do not think we want to throw this one AND another one. We will see! Last week of school for Heidi and the 2nd to last for Lucy! So close!

Spring Cleaning!

We have our big BBQ party next weekend, which means this weekend was starting some prep work. Our kitchen has been in need of a deep clean for longer than I would like to admit. We emptied all cabinets and drawers, cleaned, degreased, scrubbed, and more, and got the kitchen in a tremendously better state. 

The girls helped as well as Noah even helped! I think he was entertained by the amount of random onions he found loose in the pantry. 

We still have a lot of prep work to do, but at least the kitchen is ready!

Mother's Day Weekend

Happy Mother's Day Weekend! I told everyone I wanted to relax and play games, which we did! It was beautiful weather on Saturday, and we took advantage by hanging out on the patio, even eating dinner outside, and ending with a nice fire pit.

We started the day by walking, but Remy might need to work up a bit. He was trying to quit walking after about .5 mile!

Lucy and I went to Mother's Day mass where our whole goal is to not get into trouble because of giggling.  

Rizzo loves to squeeze himself into the smallest, warmest spots.

Chris was very excited as our yard ducks decided to hang out on our roof and walls. It was been so wet around here, that we do have a small pond at the back of our property that has attracted the ducks! I'm worried they will make a nest, and it really isn't a body of water! 

There is only one person in this house who feeds the dogs...

"Water" pong is always a fun game, and scary how good Lucy is at it. 

Heidi has been willing to help Lucy with her volleyball recently, which included lifting some weights too!

It has been green around here, and things are blooming. We hope this nice weather sticks around!
