We survived the winter wonderland and a two day tournament was squished down to 1 day this past weekend. We were there from 12:30 to 11:00pm and we actually got to leave early. It was crazy. We were all trying to get the play in, but also travel home before we all got dumped on with snow. Lucy did great. She is really getting the hang of volleyball and is improving each time we see her play. Each tournament the girls are doing a little better and have made it to gold each time!

Volleyball
Heidi and Noah handling the Holy Name media :)
We had another volleyball weekend (and more this weekend too) and we are truly enjoying Lucy play. She is getting better and better each game and having fun while doing it. Plus - I find her so adorable in her little sports glasses :)

Braces, RVs, & Prom Dresses
Busy week and weekend! I bathed the dogs earlier this week and Rizzo was shivering afterwards. I introduced him to the heating pad and he loved it!
Anyways - big week! Lucy got her BRACES! She will have them for 2 years. She gets her expander on top this week and she will only have that for 6 months. They just need to expand her top teeth a little more to fit her bite correctly. I think she looks adorable and she is adjusting to having them. It is still pretty soft food right now, but hopefully she can try to eat some normal things this week!
Heidi was lucky enough to go to puppy yoga with a friend. She said it was very cute but also very gross - like the dogs smelled like a kennel and kept eating each other's poop. Gross. But they loved her and at one point she was the only one the dogs curled up next to.
The Belciks and us headed off to the RV show and ran around like little kids. We all have been honestly talking about maybe dabbling in the life of RVing eventually - so the research has begun! Even if we weren't actually considering an RV, I would return back to the show as we really did have a great time.
There was music, food, drinks, lots of vendors and also some really weird things - like these random characters. We quickly learned the toilet situation or really the "wiping" situation is very important. Is it right hand friendly? Only left hand? etc and the true RVers we chatted with literally said that is one of the most important things. ha.
On Sunday, Heidi and I went to the largest prom store around here and found her dress! She tried on a lot! I didn't even take pictures of over half of the dresses she tried on. It was tough because she would like one, but maybe they didn't have it available in a color she wanted or a piece of was weird or whatever. We were also surprised that an amazing dress in person - like the super bright pink one - didn't look that great in a picture.
After trying probably 50+ dresses - she tried on the yellow one and instantly got excited. It fit her perfectly, it was light weight (SO many were SO heavy) and she loved it. We ended up ordering it instead of taking the floor version - so we should have it in a few weeks! Prom isn't until May BUT 1. Dresses can take up to 3 months to get and 2. The girls now register their dresses so no one has the same dress! So you want to buy and claim yours early.
Heidi did not go out wanting a yellow dress - she knew she didn't want any blues or any super dark colors (she tried them on just in case). I'm glad she was aware of the weight of some as well. Some of the full beaded ones, even just wearing them for 5 minutes, left dents and bruises on her!
The fellow mom warriors like myself helping zip in/out, tie up etc - (We were all bonding over it) all agreed the yellow was the way to go. It is so pretty on her.
We are looking forward to styling the dress and Prom!
