Happy Valentine's Day!

Our weekend was spent on to do lists and relaxing. The weather was just warm enough for us to finally take the outdoor Christmas decorations down and we enjoyed not having to run a bunch of places this weekend. 

Lucy is trying one of her new face masks which we also enjoyed as she couldn't talk for 3 hours. It was funny seeing her try to communicate what she wanted. 

The girls received their Valentine's "gifts" - some they picked out but both of them chose to save the money instead, which I will always encourage. I have no pictures of Heidi this weekend. Her and Noah hung out most of the weekend.

Friday we joined the Belciks to watch Nicholas play hockey. The game didn't even begin until 9:40 at night - crazy town. As always, we had a lot of fun. 

Lucy dressed super cute for Friday at school, but she wouldn't pose for pictures - this is what you get. 

Another huge thing this week was Lucy getting her serve over consistently at practice! This is a huge deal. We are very excited to see it in action at this week's tournament! 

Chris traveled to the middle of Canada and back - you have to love the random selfies I sometimes get.

We have a two day very LONG tournament this weekend for Lucy. I'm hosting a book club Tuesday and then lots of work and school! 

Volleyball

 

Noah and Heidi sharing Waffle House after Heidi was finally done being sick and she could be allowed outside the house. Heidi was up early and made Noah get out of bed early Saturday just to hang out. He's a good sport :) 

What a whirlwind of a weekend. Saturday was errand day and Lucy and I went on a mission to get our to do list done. Then Sunday, Chris was off to Canada for work and I made the 2.5 hour trek to volleyball for Lucy while Heidi handled the dogs at home and 2.5 hours back.  It was an 18-19 hour day before being able to crawl into bed.

This tournament was tougher competition. Lucy's team had moments of greatness and was winning against some really tough teams buuuutttt also had some not so great moments, especially around serving that caused some losses. They ended up being in the upper middle half of the tournament and that's a win for me. Lucy is going great. Each time she is improving and she had several amazing dives and saves. 

Lots a work this week and we have nothing this weekend besides get things done around the house! I'm excited! 

The blog about nothing...

We are still living in a snow globe - but at least the snow fall has only been a dusting here and there. I think some of these piles of snow will last until late spring! Both kids also were fighting some colds - so we stayed local this weekend and stayed in. 

Is this the Nebraska way of shoveling your porch? 

I feel like the snow pictures don't showcase how much snow we have. It was very fluffy at first and now it has all frozen hard together. I would love a nice warm couple of days to melt the majority of it and let us start over! 

We picked up Heidi's dress! It fits perfect. I'm mad I didn't get the awesome photo with the train out but we will have plenty of photos of it in the future. Now she needs to find shoes and we will need to get it shortened in the front and a way to bustle it in the back. It is so pretty!

This is Remy on top of the harden snow. Sometimes he thinks he is a husky and loves being out there - problem is, we are all sick of rescuing him from the snow when he is too frozen to move! 

Snow. Already over it. We have another volleyball tournament this weekend that will be fun. Lucy is doing so so well with it. We have also been busy booking things for Heidi's college - like orientation day, housing etc. Heidi's senior year is moving fast!
