I think we are back to normal now... we have heat (got it at 11 am on Wednesday - about 36 hours without!) - we have water - yeah - right after we got our heat, came out an emergency water issue that they did not have enough to supply us - but luckily it was all ok. We only had one casualty of the no heat...the fish or really, The Fish With No Name.  Do we feel bad that he slowly froze to death and was found frozen at the bottom of the tank - after Chris fed him twice without noticing - yes. How did Heidi take it? Oh - she didn't care - asked for a new one or a cooler pet - like a bird. That fish had made it through numerous weeks of not being fed and this no heat did him in. RIP TFWNN.

Moving on... Lucy has been walking a lot more. If she needs to go somewhere fast - she still crawls but we have hit the number of steps to be in the 20s and above. She has also defaulted to walking versus always crawling.

Another big change is we have cold turkey quit her bottles. She was down to three and honestly never finished them, maybe once or twice a week. Yesterday morning was the toughest - not a happy camper but got over it rather quickly - now yesterday afternoon - she cried for 40 minutes - and anyone who has experienced her crying - yes - it was awful. 40 minutes BUT she hasn't cried once since. Nothing today. Woke up this morning and could care less about the bottle. She has drank milk out of a sippy cup with meals and that's it. We will see how daycare goes when other kids around her are having bottles.

It came to be Sunday afternoon and I hadn't taken any pictures - thought I would snap a few. Yes - they are in their PJs - aren't you?

So we have no gas...

So...we have no gas - since Monday night - what does that mean? Well our stove is gas...our fireplace is gas....our water heater is gas...our furnace is gas... Yep. Back to the pioneer days!  Can't cook anything but microwave - can't shower - can't heat house...

We have a neighborhood Facebook page that notified me about 8pm Monday night that some peoples gas wasn't working - fast forward and we were right along with them!

First night we grabbed Heidi and threw her in bed with me and the boys and we took our space heater to Lucy's room. 

Chris got to stay up and mess with our fire alarms which were malfunctioning. At first we thought it was carbon monoxide but luckily it wasn't!!! 

Chris and I sent the kids to daycare the next day and we had a work party in our bedroom that later turned into a dinner and everyone sleeping party that night! We even tried to do baths out of a small tub! 

Even though our house is 37 degrees - our bedroom is 65 and we are giggling as much as we are annoyed. 

Can't shower - well actually Chris tried for about 5 seconds this morning - brilliant idea on his part :)

Still waiting for some heat and the gas people to come. Someone has to remain here to let them in...I'm watching the neighborhood Facebook page religiously to try to track their progress and I hope to have heat this morning!

New Years Eve Party!

I had to post my cell phone pictures of NYE! We went to our neighbors and they had a murder mystery night. I seriously had a blast and want to do it again. So funny seeing everyone run around in character doing their tasks assigned to them!

I might have forgotten to die at one point - hehe and had a horrific southern accent for my second character...but it was fun finding the dead characters and have them giggling on the floor. 

Congrats to Chris figuring it all out (I didn't have a clue) my dad got the most money, Amy got best dress and I got biggest faux pas for not dying when I was suppose to. 

It was a perfect way to bring in the New Year! Thanks Rob and Amy!
