PROM!!!
What a busy weekend for sure! It was a fun and stressful weekend. First, Heidi headed off to a small friend gathering to make bouquets. We had already ordered ours for the actual day, but it was still a super cute fun event for the girls.
The flowers we ordered turned out perfect!
The day of a lot... Started off with Heidi making her Tik Toks - whether Noah wanted to do it or not - ha!
Then we ran to get hair done. The salon was behind schedule and added some stress, but it all worked out in the end.
Along with Prom, in a good way, Lucy had a birthday party with her friends. This was great as Lucy could be off having fun and we could focus on Heidi on this big day for her. Lucy had fun!
The scramble to finish getting ready and then we had a last minute photo venue change which really threw in a wrench. The weather was off and on and the group decided to head to the downtown Library instead.
Except - of course the teenagers didn't think of - the fact there was a baseball game, prepping for the marathon and closed streets, and just the general craziness of downtown Cleveland. It took us longer to get downtown and then we couldn't find parking etc which made Heidi about 30 minutes later than her friends. It was also - just complete chaos and a zoo as at least 10 other schools had prom and had the same idea. The pictures started off rough. Friends were leaving before Heidi could grab them, Noah was being pulled in a different direction, it was very packed and hard to find good photos areas. Just wasn't ideal and I felt so bad for the kids. We made the best of it as Chris literally had to just drive around while we took photos. Luckily, Heidi and Noah looked amazing.
The sun came out for a bit, so they ran outside trying to get pictures...
Heidi was afraid she didn't get enough photos (honestly- she didn't), so we went back instead and snapped a few more to be safe. Heidi was sad she didn't get photos with very many people, but glad we could at least capture some good ones with her and Noah. I wished we had a better plan so we could have gotten more pictures of the back of the dress, pictures with Chris and I etc. Oh well!
We just love her dress. She got it at a bridal shop and it fit her perfectly. Heidi didn't have to adjust her dress once. Noah's suit also looked great and they were a sharp looking couple!
More random photos received for Lucy!
Then I stole these pictures from Heidi! Behind the scenes at prom :)
She said once she got to the dinner and dance, the stress disappeared. Then surprise - she was picked for Prom court!! Her friend Paige was also picked! It was a great ending to a fun evening.
Noah and his best friend Jason - who is a character.
I'm so glad the rest of Heidi's prom was so much fun and the stress of photos didn't dampen her evening too much. We are in the home stretch! Graduation this week!!!!!!!!!
