Go Panthers!

It was cheer leading camp again and Heidi had a blast! Of course our luck - it was super cold and windy but the girls did great. We had to chase down Lucy a few times - she was ready to join all the girls cheering too. What is crazy is she can do it next year with Heidi - oh boy!

Heidi all dolled up ready to go!

Yes - Lucy picked out two different gloves on purpose...

Our 2nd grade girls' class is fantastic. So involved and really a good group of girls.

Afterwards a bunch of us took over a Mexican restaurant and the kids had their own table.

Heidi did a great job cheering and hanging out in the cold. It was a fun night!

Winter has stopped by this weekend - we saw snow! Luckily nothing stuck but we had to get out our winter gear! I also had to take a picture of Lucy - as she is soooo good at dressing herself. What is not pictured is her socks and sandals, pants and Minnie shorts under her dress. Lovely.

Heidi modeling her new coat. We realized she had a size 4 coat - oops - emergency trip to the store - we are good!

Heidi has become my little helper in the kitchen. She wants to learn all about cooking! She has learned how to follow recipes, mix things, plate things etc. She even made meatballs from scratch and today learned how to slice cucumbers. We are loving her learning how to cook and it helps me out too!

Painting and Forts!

Last weekend I was playing in Chicago with my BFF Val...and nope - sorry - not a lot of pictures besides a bunch of selfies of Val and I. I had a blast and can't wait to do it again next year.

This week, Heidi had Friday off for teacher planning day or really, I'm not sure. So I worked from home and Heidi entertained herself. Heidi is quite the little artist. I happened to have some canvas' and paint and she just went to town. I love how she was like - I'm going to paint that bird with a long beak and then does it! So proud. I'm looking forward to what her mind comes up with!

Saturday was a stay-at-home sort of day. We weren't sure what we were going to do and I ended up building a super fort. I think it was my best one yet - complete with plenty of cubbies and corners to place things and I also incorporated the tee-pees we own. The majority of it is still up even now except I did have to dig a path to the computer. The girls had a lot of fun playing in it all weekend.

This week is cheer leading camp! That should be fun once again.

Apple Orchard

It was a beautiful day and we had some time in the morning - so off to the apple orchard we went! This time it didn't work out to go with our neighbors but we are going to try again in October!

They had a new attraction - a barrel train for the little ones. It was pretty cute and Lucy rode it twice. Now - honestly - it was a little funny to see parents strap their 18 month old to 5 year olds in the barrels and then watch them drive away.

Lucy was so tired - she fell asleep like this:

Fall has begun!
