3-Day Weekend

We had a long weekend filled with some volleyball and fun. First, we have had Heidi drive more and more and she is doing a great job. I try really hard to be very calm in the back seat!

Lucy was just thrilled *not* to be at another volleyball tournament. We had her attend only on Saturday and Monday - to give her a break!

Heidi's team played well. They almost made it to the gold bracket but ran out of steam a bit. They are getting better for sure. We travel again this weekend and then get a break for a few weeks!

Lucy was excited for her father-daughter day on Sunday. They went shopping, to the movies, baked a cake etc.

Heidi's nap before play...

Heidi's coaches and young and fun.

Remy was upset we kept leaving...

Movie fun

I'm not sure why she isn't wearing a shirt - I wasn't there...that is a Chris question...

Busy week of work ahead for us but looking forward to the trip out of town; should be fun!

Happy Valentine's Day

Sorry! I had another weekend of no pictures! I promise to try to take more pictures this upcoming weekend. We celebrated Valentine's Day this morning and the girls opened some little gifts. At school, they celebrated yesterday since today is Ash Wednesday.

We received Heidi's volleyball pictures this week as well! She is looking so grown up!

Funny enough, Lucy used some Christmas money back in December to purchase some items from a YouTuber she watches. The cards FINALLY arrived! Straight from China. She is still waiting for a stuffed animal - who knows when we will receive that!

And...keeping the neighborhood classy. Jason needed to borrow some of our extra mattresses and why not drive them to his house. Very classy and safe...

Ending with the one actual picture I took this last weekend! Cute Rizzo

Volleyball & Catching up

Sorry for no blog last week. We had a great weekend but did not take a single picture - not even of a dog!

Anyways - we made our way to tournament #2. The team overall did tremendously better this round. We made it to silver and ended up in the best top half of the 24 teams. We will take it! The best part is, they were all smiling and having fun together. Heidi was a beast! She was all over that court and really working hard. I am really proud of Heidi. This is a new club, it is a merged team of freshmen and sophomores. They are asking her to play positions she doesn't normally play and she is absolutely taking on the challenge.

For us, the best part is watching her at the net. She actually blocked several hits and had some kills as well! They are coming together and Heidi is the leader, whether she wants it or not. She gives 110%. As much as I really did not love this new club in the beginning; I have come around. This situation has gotten Heidi to love volleyball again and have fun. I can appreciate it. In the beginning, she missed the National volleyball scene, but she now says, she is having more fun and looks forward to playing more. Heidi even is hanging out with her team in between games which was NOT the case last year.

The tournament was in a huge dome and the lighting was very interesting!

Lucy doesn't love tournaments, I don't blame her. She was a good sport and hung out with snacks. I always love these random selfies I get.

We LOVE this picture... Heidi actually got herself over the net and does it consistently. She didn't think she could but we have proof now!

This weekend doesn't have anything going on - except Valentine's hang out for Heidi and Noah and the SuperBowl!
