Saturday was a typical Saturday - complete with a quick trip to the zoo - Fat Heads lunch and watching Husker football. Heidi dressed herself and I thought she did a very nice job. :) Heidi has adjusted well to Kindergarten - but I think it makes for very dressed up weekends since she can't wear any jewelry or anything she wants during the week!
Lucy was a little under the weather. She was running a low fever and was kind if cranky. Her gums are swollen - so it wouldn't surprise me if another tooth pops out.
The zoo - we didn't stay too long - it ended up being really busy and very hot - not a good combo.
The rest of the day will be relaxing - doing household chores and working a little bit. I hope to be in bed by 8pm! ha!!!

Labor Day Weekend
Happy Labor Day Weekend! We cleaned, had some of the GE Hispanic club over, grilled, smoked meat and drank beer - sounds like a Labor Day Weekend to me!
I have random shots I had to share. Lucy is pulling herself up on everything and likes to stand and play now. She has such a personality and so many expressions. I swear she is saying, mama, dada, bye, hi and uh oh. She also shakes her head for no and does the baby sign language for all done and milk. She is sneaky and likes to put things in things - like...our open trash can by the computer...found some burp rags and toys...and Heidi's boots had puzzle pieces...I see in my future - she will flush something in the toilet...I hope not... To help keep her in toy areas, we cleaned and baby proofed the morning room and Lucy has had a blast in there this weekend!
In preparation for our little gathering - Heidi really wanted to help Chris pick up dog poo. Ok - not going to tell her no for that one! She dressed herself of course and was more than willing to pose for some pictures. All poses are her own and these are exactly how the pictures were taken. She was such a model - pose - picture - pose - picture - pose - picture. Too funny.
Lucy after her bath - watching Heidi clean up poo... Her hair cracks me... its WILD!
I didn't take too many pictures from the party. The kids played in a variety of water toys - the adults ate tons of meat and fresh salsa and other fantastic food.....and drank... it was nice to have everyone over! Heidi made some fast friends and even convinced one of the girls to go bug hunting!
Today we are recovering and getting our house back together. Heidi took advantage of us leaving the blow up bed up from the night before movie time for the kids. She may have brought down all her stuffed animals.
And... the dogs had to play too. They were actually willing to play - maybe because Heidi kept feeding them food and treats...
It was a great weekend!

Lucy - 1 Year Stats
We had Lucy's 1 year check up and she is still our little peanut! She is weighing in at 17lbs 12 ozs and is 27 and 3/4 tall. I think it averages out to be in the 7% - so up from being in the 5% :) She has now turned into an eating machine and she is full of personality! I also tried pigtails for the first time this weekend - I think they are awesome! :)
I feel walking is in the near future - she moves along items now and I catch her standing and barely holding onto anything. She is already into everything - when she walks we better watch out! This is a really fun age.
