Fall Activities

We had a short weekend - sandwiched by work travel for Chris - but we made the most of it and knocked out some fall activities. 

First - Rizzo has found his new favorite sleeping space. I have found him now numerous times curled up all the way inside of Heidi's old hamper. I have found him so much that I now leave it be on its side for him. He can have his nest. :) 

Lucy wanted to paint pumpkins and go get apple donuts. These are two activities we normally do during the fall but we just haven't gotten around to it. While we grabbed our items, Chris put his hard top on the Jeep to prepare for colder weather. It is always a sad day when the top goes back on. 

Our pumpkins are Sponge Bob and Doodle Bob and then Lucy did veggie tales. 

We always get our apple donuts from the same orchard just a few miles down the road. We don't do the whole apple picking etc anymore but at least Lucy got to pose next to the creepy tree. 

Another huge win this week was Lucy spoke at church on Friday. She actually read a few paragraphs in front of the whole school and did great. Proud she was able to read the passage, all the names correctly and do an awesome job. 

We are preparing for Halloween! It shall be interesting Halloween being on a Saturday - should be a good time!
