Take Me Out to the Ball Game...

Grandpa and Nana were here for an entire week...and I have no pictures to show for it. Yep - I'm that awesome. I FINALLY remembered to bring my camera to the VERY cold baseball game we went to and didn't even get a group shot or anything. BUT Heidi did love the game. Before the game... We have found our new breakfast spot - not the same as Farm House - but a close 2nd. This is more of a 50s diner feel and the food is fantastic! Grandpa and Heidi before the food. You ask Heidi to smile - you get this:

Settling in at the game... I think she looks pretty cool :)

Heidi got her very own mascot stuffed animal - named Slider...

And how lucky are we - Slider came up our row and Heidi was very excited to meet him (or her - I'm not quite sure what Slider is). She wasn't scared or anything and couldn't wait to take a picture.

The rest of the game - she was just concerned where Slider went and wanted to see him again...could her fear of mascots be over???

They have a cute little Step 2 play area at the stadium and Heidi had fun. Her favorite toy was the roller coaster thingy - maybe we should get that for her bday...

Chris getting cozy with a fake Slider...

Dethawing at home...

It was a great visit - I'm sad to have them leave - however - we will be in Omaha in two weeks - yep two weeks from today - so that helps :)

The Weekend

Another random picture weekend... Heidi LOVES to dance - I couldn't catch any great moves - but here are some - she even partner dances with El Capiton...could dance lessons be in the future???? We will see...

Friday night was fun. It was the pucks and paws or paws and pucks night at the hockey game. In other words - there was a whole section of the arena filled with people and their dogs. FUN! Taco and Brewski did really well - they even enjoyed a hot dog or two. If you look closely in the pictures - almost everyone has a dog in their laps! :)

I think Heidi will do dance - Chris thinks Heidi will be the next Olympic soccer player... we will see who wins... But Chris bought Heidi her own ball and a mini net and she loves it. We passed the time while we waited for Nana and Grandpa to arrive. They are here for a week and we are super excited!

Heidi getting a little cold - need to add a thicker coat...

Sunday

This will be a random blog - nothing too exciting on the weekend - just Heidi being Heidi... She loves to run around in my shoes... Hey I think my shoes are cute too...

This is typical snack time now - Heidi has discovered Netflix and she has a variety to choose from. She loves Dora, Nai ho Kai-lan (yep Anne - we are all learning Chinese - I can count to 3 :) ) and Thomas the Train. Anyone else find Thomas the train extremely creepy? I do...

Awwww yes - potty training... it has began in full force - we have been toying with it for a long time - but it just didn't get anywhere - so for the last three weekends - it has been boot camp. Its going - OK - but I think its starting to work. Like this morning - Heidi woke up - sat on the potty and went - I didn't have to convince her - nice! She told her teacher she wasn't going potty on the toilet because she didn't have Minnie Mouse underwear - REALLY? That's the hold up? Well guess what we bought this weekend :)

Goof Ball Heidi...

We are trying to end all sippy cups - she doesn't take one to school - there are really two times we have them - 1. At bed with some water which we are buying a side table to her bed and this should end soon 2. V8 juice on the carpet. I have started to have her use sippy cups without the lids as big cups and that seems to be working as a great transition. And most of you know - I love straws and so does Heidi. Good thing we never have a shortage of straws around this place.

Playtime... this time - it was gathering her animals on the stairs (she said they were all in time out)

Took a break to steal my camera lens...

The weather man predicts 50 to 70 degrees this weekend...he better not be lying...

I organized the basement this weekend and brought back toyland. Its unfinished but plenty of room for Heidi to play or ride her bike or whatever. Here is your tour of the basement...

Stairs down...

Heading left from the bottom of the stairs...

Workbench the previous owners left... I still don't know how I feel about that...

Toyland... the previous owners left a large piece of carpet - I don't mind that - makes it easy for toyland!

TONS of storage!!! You can stack them two deep... (that's what she said)

Now its on to preparing the house for Grandpa Jeff and Nana Bev to come and visit! Very excited!!! And don't worry - I'm not going to put them to work this time... :)
