Heidi Hair Cut

Heidi got her hair cut!!! I'm posting from my phone but I hope the pictures post in order - before - during - and after!

Slumber Party, Rice Cereal and Toys R Us

Yes - we had a busy weekend...what's new...but I cannot believe we actually got the morning room clean and organized and looks less like a hoarders room and more like Toy R Us! What is amazing is we didn't really eliminate too many toys - some of the bigger stuff - like a sit in spin went downstairs to be saved for outside - but we did get rid of all the Easter baskets and buckets and random containers that held - well random stuff and that seemed to do the trick. Plus moved a few things around - added some new large containers and boom - we have our room back! Heidi is very excited and likes to see and play with some toys that were buried before!

Where did we finally find motivation to clean the room??? Well how about babysitting the neighbor's three kiddos!!! They wanted a night out and we didn't mind at all. They all had a good time. I had intentions of taking more pictures - but can you believe that 5 kids leave little time to do so? We did make, well tried to make, homemade playdough - it was more like bread dough... and we did t-shirts and watched movies. Everyone was well behaved - now bedtime - was late and morning came early. Heidi took a 5 hours nap on Sunday to make up for the fun night. I also don't think the boys moved from their spot on Sunday!

We have also officially started rice cereal again and its going MUCH better than last time. We/daycare feed her around lunch time. She actually is opening her mouth and actually consuming some. So much so that I think we might introduce a veggie later this week. We will see! I need to get a video of Lucy eating - she talks the entire time - like she is soooo excited!

Speaking of Lucy - nighttime has been going great - sleeping through the night - except for the last couple of nights - we needed some pacifier plugs - I think its because she has a cold again! darn it! But at least IF she does stir and can't get herself back to sleep - its just a plug of the pacifier!

The rest are cell phone pictures... Heidi usually has super fun hair on Fridays - this time was a fun braid bun - but I like how happy she looks - so proud!

For Christmas we got a Kindle Fire HD something and I basically call it Heidi's toy. She LOVES it! You have this freetime option where you can put a timer on and then its a whole bunch of books, games and videos that she can navigate through and play and when the time is up - no more. Its a good motivator right now if we need her to do something ..not so fun. She has chosen to play it over like sweets! Go figure!

And lastly some random pictures from Sunday of Lucy. Chris and I drank some beers in honor of Sunday Fun day and surviving taking care of 5 kids and they all lived. So we drank a few beers and folding about 10 loads of laundry. Yep. Everyone was in a good mood and it was a good day! Lucy is sooo close to holding her own bottle and not covering herself in milk! Come on!!! That is one skill Heidi never mastered!

Our house is clean - we are almost caught up on laundry and we are getting to that to do list...(I KNOW - I'm late on Christmas Thank Yous! I swear I'm getting to them!) Getting back into a routine!!!

Just the Weekend...

In the theme of getting our lives back on track - we decided to head out to the museum for a Saturday afternoon. Lucy was all set in the stroller and Heidi was all set with her carrier...for her frog.

Their exhibit this time was all about whales and I have to admit, it was pretty cool. A lot of big screens so it felt like you were looking at whales in the ocean. And as Chris keeps giggling about, they had an entire skeleton of a sperm whale - the largest whale in the ocean. He wants to make so many jokes about sperm whales. Great...I married a 7 year old. I couldn't take any pictures inside the exhibit, but I didn't mind - gave me a chance to participate!

Onto the rest of the museum...

Check in on Lucy - she was happy happy happy and was awake and alert the whole time!

 It was 60 degrees outside - in January! Who knew?

The museum was great and we had a good time - now we did learn our lesson and we shouldn't have gone to dinner after the museum - too much stimuli and she was an unhappy baby for bedtime! Plus - she had a major blowout - that ended up all down my side... baby poop on you...I don't recommend it!

Now Lucy is growing - but it still a little peanut - how much? She can fit in Heidi's play stroller! hehe

I tried to take pictures of Lucy - well she had other plans - like playing with my camera strap! :) She is turning into quite the character!

So I ended up taking some sibling pictures... Man - its hard with two - one would look - then the other would look etc. I love the one where Lucy is staring at Heidi... she LOVES Heidi!

We have tried the jump chair again - no - Lucy is not doing any jumping - more like rotating slowly while pushing buttons. Its just another tool to use in the morning so I can get ready!!! Speaking of morning - we are doing better. We got up a little early this morning around 4:45 - but I'm hoping that is just the weekend aftermath and we get back to 5:30am!

Lucy is FINALLY starting to love baths! I think once she can sit - she will really enjoy them!

This was this morning - first Heidi really wanted an alarm clock and so we got it, set it and this morning...crying - mad as hell Heidi - like what the hell is this and why is it going off? Classic. She then crawled into my bed - where I had just put Lucy down for her mid morning nap. Both my sleeping babies!
