I was going to wait to start the count down when it wasn't so long, but I just couldn't help myself... Even though its record long - we have started the Disney count down - oh - BTW - we have booked Disney! Why so early? Well... we were able to buy other people's Disney vacation club points at a discount and got a decent villa for WAY cheaper. Like 1/3 of the cost. We have been wanting to do it in the past, but you have to book like a year in advance - hence - why we are booked! We are super excited!!! Believe it or not, even with booking this far in advance, we still didn't get our #1 choice for places to stay - it was sold out - so see - we aren't the only crazy ones!
We decided to just lay low this weekend and not really do anything for St Patty's day. Well... laying low turned into a dance party - complete with a Heidi provided laser show and a almost seizure inducing LED show by Chris...
We were ALL tired the next day. Too much for these party animals!
And random with Lucy and Heidi. I love when they get creative and play well together. This was Lucy sitting on the piano singing and Heidi playing... pretty darn cute. They made a whole band too!

Lucky
We are lucky for sure! We had the Night at the Races for school this past weekend. Our first time going and we had a blast. We also won Disney tickets!!! We were laughing so hard - even when we say we aren't going to Disney this year - we will probably end up there! The planning has begun to see if we can get there!
And captured this cute moment of Lucy taking a nap on recovering daddy...like I said, we had a blast Saturday night...

Happy Heart - Happy Cheer!
It was a big successful week for us! It was go time for cheer competition prep and practice. I have become an honorary cheer coach and helped get our small but mighty team in shape! We had practice every night and not going to lie - was worried on Monday and was amazed how far the group came by the end of the week!
So if our week wasn't crazy enough with all the extra practices - Lucy also had her heart appointment! She had all sorts of tests completed and passed them all! The doctor even said he saw improvement where she last had surgery! It was awesome! We are cleared for a year! We will continue to go every year, but the doctor was very optimistic! Other side note - Lucy has grown and continues to be a perfect square - 42 inches tall - 42 pounds... last time she was 41x41. Ha! Lucy goes: I need to get bigger so I can ride the big Disney rides!
Now onto cheer! Heidi's small group of 7 4th graders competed in the CYO 6th cheer competition. There were some other 3rd and 4th graders but in general they went against 5th and 6th grade squads.
In good competition prep - had to curl your hair of course!
Heidi was so cute in her little cheer outfit! The girls did amazing and ended up getting 2nd place! Which not only did they go against 6th graders, but every other squad had 10+ girls - sometimes 20!
Heidi also did the jump contest. Unfortunately, she didn't make it very far. She did a good job but didn't quite get as high as she does during the cheer and dance. She didn't make the top 12 - but there were 39 jumpers! I bet she was close but they chose other people. It was a good life lesson. Plus, her best jump is her hurdler which last year they did in the first round, but this year, they didn't. I know she would have been a finalist if they did it the same as last year. She was frustrated but also good because I think it has motivated her to work even harder for next year. Plus her best friend did awesome in the contest and got 2nd. She was happy for her but of course sad too!
Look at this front hurdler! Heidi can jump!!!
Here is their chant-cheer- chant
Here is the dance!
Her jump! Proud!
And cheer is a wrap! Ending on a high note! So proud!
