Christmas

We have made it through Christmas #1! After Disney, we all got sick, except Heidi. I had another round of a sinus infection and was tested for everything! Chris ended up getting Covid and Lucy got the flu! Yikes! Luckily we all healded and were ready for Christmas, just in time for Grandpa and Nana to arrive.

It ended up being a cold, windy, and snowy Christmas. Right before the Christmas fun, Chris and I decided to sell both our cars and get myself a new car! It was a process for sure - selling my old car on Caravana, which was really really easy. Then we waited for the right car to come in, test-drove a bunch of other options and it finally all came together.

For Christmas, Chris made a delicious brisket.

Christmas morning...

Heidi was super thrilled to be woken up for Christmas. ha.

New car...

Heidi had some fun at the dealership...

And on top of the car fun, getting over colds, prepping for Christmas etc - Lucy is getting new glasses!

Chris was especially sad to see his toy Jeep be sold...

It was a great visit from Grandpa and Nana. We watched many many Christmas movies, made cookies, played games, and listened to more Christmas music than I knew existed. They were good sports with being stuck inside for sure! This week Grandpa D and Grandma Babs arrive to bring in the New Year! The weather should be nicer, so we might actually be able to get out. Merry Christmas!

Disney December 2022

Disney! We were lucky enough to jet off to Disney for a long weekend and to celebrate the Christmas season. Disney is at its best at Christmas time! There were many snacks, meals, rides, entertainment, sun, and fun!

Heidi got to ride the new Guardians of the Galaxy ride 7 times over 2 days! It is so much fun!

Our flight out was at 5 in the morning... Lucy was...a little tired...

We rented a scooter for Chris and we are so happy we did. I averaged 25K steps a day and around 8.5/9 miles walked. Chris is still healing from his back. He skipped some rides, but the scooter was a nice tool. It held our backpack, Lucy could hop on when needed, and made it enjoyable for all of us... we also had some fun with it too!

Heidi won't pose for pictures - it is very difficult to get her to pose. She had a blast and got to ride all the thrill rides - over and over again. She even was a good sport on the slow rides and shows.

The vacation does not begin until the first mickey pretzel is consumed!

Our hotel room was perfect. Two rooms, four beds, two bathrooms, main living room, kitchen, and laundry.

Heidi even made some tik toks with Lucy!

So many delicious treats...

Only at Disney would these entertainers hope on the back of Chris' scooter - very very funny...

We actually snagged a character breakfast and had Ohana - so so delicious!

We didn't get the photo pass as we have...plenty of them - but we had some good ones come through!

We had a great time. We actually return in February because of a volleyball tournament and we can't wait! Until next time Disney!
