Cleveland Farm and Mission Organize Toys!

Chris' coworkers were nice enough to invite us out to check out a farm on the east side of Cleveland. Besides it being FREEZING out - 75 degrees on Thursday and 40 degrees on Saturday - go figure - it was a great farm.

After the last picture is where it started to go down hill - she didn't like the goats eating her clothes and also it was close to feeding time. It was LOUD in there. I have never heard so many sheep and goats baaahing. She got pretty scared at some points.

We went through the horse stalls and I have to admit those were some of the biggest horses I have seen in awhile. Plus, some of them kept kicking the metal stall doors in effort to get fed and Heidi didn't find that so cool. Heck, I even jumped a few times. Luckily one of the helpers thought quickly and took us to see the mini horses so Heidi and our friends kids wouldn't be so scared.

I didn't take a lot of pictures - mainly because Heidi was more timid and not in the picture mood. Maybe this will mean we can avoid petting zoos - fine in my book!

Sunday we found some motivation and started on project one - organize the toys upstairs. Wow that was a feat! Here are some BEFORE pictures...

 And AFTER!

Heidi was sooo happy and was excited to play with all these toys she hasn't seen or didn't even know she had! Now she is motivated to start downstairs!

The Zoo

Zoo day! It looked to be a nice day so we decided to head to the zoo... as it is becoming tradition - Heidi wanted to pose in her outfit she put together...our little model.

Luckily this time all the animals were out and about at the zoo. Heidi wanted to stop at EVERY exhibit and pretend to read every sign. She also stopped at every Docent and wanted to hear their presentation. Did you know that over a lifetime sharks lose about 10,000 teeth and they never stop growing teeth. Yep.

4 and 1/2 hours and over 6 miles of walking later... we had completed the zoo. I was WORN out! Heidi fell asleep before we even left the parking lot.
I grabbed some Chick-fil-A nuggets before the zoo as a snack. I need to apologize to the other parents who ended up having kids whining to them that they wanted Chick-fil-A too. Sorry!

This next section I would like to call - Heidi posing with animal statues... She loves to do it - I didn't even include every one she posed with.

Fun day - I was wiped out and I think we were all in bed by 8pm! Bring on the summer!

Quick update on Ooo-Fah - this past weekend was the first time I felt kicks and movement above my belly button. I forgot how much I really don't like feeling kicks - don't get me wrong - its nice to know things are cool as she cooks - but its always at odd times - like when I'm trying to go to sleep or watch a movie or something. And I think when she has hiccups its ticklish - like when you have an itch on your back you can't scratch. It also makes me nervous how high she is all ready - Heidi never kicked my ribs except for maybe once... I have a feeling my ribs are going to be in for a beating with this one!!!

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter! We had a good weekend and a great Sunday. Our morning started off with daddy making special pancakes for Easter

We got ready for church - yes church - we tried a new one this time and it was a little better than the previous churches we have visited. We also found out our neighbors go there - so it can't be that bad. I wish I could have taken a picture of Heidi holding the song book mimicking the singers... quite entertaining.

Heidi modeling her Easter dress from Grandma Babs and Grandpa Darrell... I think she looks quite good in yellow, just like Chris.

After church - it was time for an Easter egg hunt! The hunt goes a little slower when you don't have competition from cousins. Heidi would focus on one egg and skip 10 eggs to get that one egg. But eventually she gathered all 74 of them.
There may not have been competition but there was still determination.

Heidi showing off her candy loot!

For lunch we made little pizzas and Heidi was the perfect helper. She loves her pepperoni!

I asked Heidi to take a picture with daddy - this is what I got.

Heidi ready to open her three Easter baskets - she already opened the one from Grandpa Jeff and Nana - so it was just our basket, Grandma Babs and Grandpa Darrell's basket and Grandma and Grandpa Gonzales' basket. So I'm thinking - three baskets - she is a kid - we will fly through this no problem. It took 2 hours to open the baskets - TWO HOURS! She wanted to open each item - play with it - take a picture with it and then maybe open the next item. Both myself and Chris at some point fell asleep during the process!

After the LONG gift opening session - we all needed to wake up and Heidi was on a sugar high - so we decided to fly our $.99 kite... SHE LOVED IT! And we realized we have a perfect backyard for it - who knew!

Even though we didn't have any family around - it was a great Easter - thank you to all the grandparents for providing the baskets - Heidi loves everything!
