Checking In

Heidi had a teeth cleaning at the dentist and we found out some interesting info... first - she does have two cavities - boo - but they are minor and get filled in a week or two. Second, the dentist noticed some crowding and issues with her lower teeth and Heidi has been wanting braces - turns out - Heidi is also tongue tied and her tongue is not sitting in her mouth properly. He went over some symptoms and Heidi was text book. We have two course of actions right now... 1. Heidi will begin tongue therapy - yep, that's a thing - as well as she will be getting a brace she wears at night and for 2 hours per day. This will help train her tongue as well as straighten her teeth. 2. The second path is we are meeting with a specialist to see the possibility of getting her tongue tied corrected - aka - they take a laser and snip it. We have some meetings and appointments at the beginning of March - so we will see how this works out!

Lucy finished her volcano and was all to excited to see it in action!

Snow Day! The girls had another snow day and loved it. I'm glad the school is calling snow days and not doing online or whatever days. The kids need traditional days like this! Remy also LOVES the snow!

The rest of the weekend was relaxing and we watched Husker volleyball and played.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just me sitting at a volleyball tournament... We had another one on Saturday and Heidi's team did ok, more bad than good... They were down a player and not that the player was the best player - more of they had to completely change the rotation and positions to adjust for this missing player. When the team was on, they were magical. When they were off - holy cow - horrible... Plus this tournament seemed to have a lot of down time... the girls would get bored and would take a bit to wake up and play. They ended up winning the bronze bracket but shouldn't have even been in that low of a bracket. They are better than that. Oh well... we have more tournaments ahead for us!

Heidi loves to ref. How it works is the other teams not playing, take turns with reffing the games. Heidi always votes to be the net judge. I think sometimes you likes this more than playing - ha!

Lots of downtime...

Then it was Valentine's Day! Thank you to all the grandparents who sent gifts and they girls had a nice relaxing day.

This is how Lucy sits in our chairs...always...

As I'm sitting at a tournament, Chris had fun with Lucy and would make me jealous with his snuggle pictures!

Remy's favorite toy, ManWolf needed some TLC. I had to sew several holes and Remy was concerned the whole time. He stayed right by him and afterwards wanted to lick and make sure he was okay. Now that is love.

Lucy playing with her new Lego sets and making a volcano!

It was a nice valentine's day for sure. Relaxing and fun activities for the kids. This week is lots of snow and we will see if we get a snow day or not. We also aren't 100% sure if we have volleyball this weekend or not as our schedule got a little messed up. We will see...

We are thinking about Chris' mom, Brett and Tone as they are all battling a tough case of COVID right now. We are checking in on them and hope they start getting better soon!

Teeth - Games & Cooking

We received Heidi's volleyball picture. I love when you buy before you see. I think Heidi looks good but holy cow do they have a soft focus on her. It is like she is blurry - I don't get it. I wish I could get the normal picture too. Oh well.

We finally took Heidi to the dentist last week. Her baby tooth with a crown was preventing her permanent tooth from coming in correctly. She was a trooper and had two baby teeth pulled. Then a couple of days later - she pulled out her final baby tooth! We are going to let her teeth come in and see how they turn out. She might get braces she might not- they are looking decent on their own!

Heidi finally received a Christmas present from Babs that was order back at the beginning of November. yeah. USPS - great job on that one!

Our hairy beast. We are keeping him longer because it has been so cold out. He is one fuzzy fat dog!

Lucy wanted me to take pictures of her after she played VR to show off her creases in her face. Lucy is goofy.

Saturday we tried to have a normal day - Heidi baked - we played games and just relaxed. It was great and felt normal.

Lucy decided Chris needed a new hair do...

I don't know why they pick Monopoly... they all know they will lose... to me and they did...ha!

We watched the Husker volleyball game - which was fun!

Heidi making her Tik Tok pasta she saw and she loved it.

You will find one of our kids playing VR somewhere in the house - always. At least they can do it themselves and we only have to break up fights on who gets to play ever so often. I'm just happy they like it! Just a normal week ahead of us - then back to volleyball tournaments and Valentines Day!
