Hanging Out

We had a great weekend. Nothing too special or exciting, but also not a lot going on -which is always nice with our crazy schedules! Saturday we literally had no commitments - that never happens - so after a nice lunch, we headed to Dave and Busters for some fun.

I love Heidi's winter hat...

After returning, we had a mini dance party...

Chris decided to try being a man and repair our kitchen light. I can confirm, he was able to get it up and running again and he didn't electrocute himself.

Cheering for basketball games is almost over!

This week will be record cold for us - everyone is predicting no school Wednesday and Thursday for sure and Friday is on the fence. Should be interesting!

SNOW

We got hit with SNOW! The first real big snow of the season. We ended up meeting up with the Belciks and while the "coaches" worked on lineups for cheer competition - the kids and dads played!  Little Lu played a little, but because of her leg, she couldn't really do too much outside and was over it quickly. I also don't think Lucy is really fond of being cold...

To say Chris had fun with his Jeep in the snow is an understatement. He disappeared several times to go play and even helped some people who were stuck. He had a blast.

Now comes the freezing cold and we will probably be over the weather in about a day!

Random

This last weekend, we didn't do much and it was glorious. Of course there was some cheer but mainly... just relaxed for once!

Random, but Heidi had dress like an old lady and Lucy had pj day at school. It was pretty funny...

Enjoying some great food at Fat Heads...

Lucy was the photographer...

And Lucy helped big Lucy out by doing her makeup... I think she can make a career out of this! :)

The Leg...

Quick update on Lucy's leg...

We had an appointment and the doctor says it is healing nicely. Now she has a slight bow to her leg which is causing one section to take a while longer to heal. He believes this will be ok but he plans to monitor it to be safe.

What is means is Lucy still can't do anything high impact or sports. Like no gymnastics or playgrounds or gym class. She can walk and run and she doesn't have to wear the boot, but she have to keep it mild for 2 more months! Yes 2!

The picture on the left is from today and on the right is original. Lots have healed - still a long way to go.

Christmas in Cleveland

The Holiday season is finally wrapping up.  The kids have been home for two weeks now and we are all done with our quality time together :)  - its time for them to go back to school and for me to get back to the office!

The Disney trip cut short the normal time for our Elf on the Shelf but she still made it count. The Elf thought it would be great to have the girls help fold laundry in preparation for grandparents to visit... it ended up causing more mess than before but it was fun just the same.

First visitors for Christmas were Grandpa and Nana

I think Lucy was excited for Christmas...

We gave Heidi one of those instax cameras - basically the new Polaroid cameras. It is fun for sure!

Chris makes it a tradition to look as ridiculous as possible for Christmas... with Bourbon...

We joked with Heidi that Chris was going to go see the cute boys down the street like this... she was actually ok with it... uh oh...

After the wonderful visit from Grandpa and Nana - Grandma Babs and Grandpa came to visit for the New Year!

 So more presents!

 Some assembly required...

Lucy rocking some of her new items from Christmas.

 Lots of puzzles...

And just like that - they went home and it was back to just us. We have taken down most of the Christmas decor and I have dabbled getting some work things done. The girls are done bonding and watching Netflix for sure. I even straightened Lucy's hair today and now she is fancy.

It was a great holiday two weeks and we are always so happy when we have visitors. We are ready for the new year and can't wait for the fun ahead!
