Last Cheer Game

This past weekend was Heidi's last cheer game for the season. We have a couple cheer competitions to do, but because of Volleyball, she isn't available on the weekends any more. I made sure I picked a game that included the 6th grade boys as Heidi is really on the fence if she will do it next year or not. I was hoping a fun game for the boys would help push her towards doing it. We will see..

It was a fun game. The other team was....interesting. It was like they hadn't seen girls before and were blowing them kisses after they made baskets and flexing their muscles. I was VERY proud of our 6th grade boys as they handled all the smack talk and taunting very well. Plus, the gym was tiny. The girls cheered right in front of the crowd and had everyone doing spirit fingers. I would say it was my favorite game we have ever cheered.

Best thing about being at the 6th grade boys game, the girls are willing to show off and jump.

Now... we had kind of a big moment...Heidi has officially started talking to a boy. Not dating or anything, but they chat on their phone and in class. They actually talk and aren't awkward! They are even exchanging Valentines! oh boy... He is a basketball player...he is the one with the towel around his neck...

This is Heidi after he got his number and was chatting...I have seen all the texts... they both said they liked each other... oh Junior High love...

Hehe...no dates or anything like that, but they are trying to arrange a group to go to a high school basketball game or something... We will see...

Big Steps

Monday we had off work and school, so I took the girls to lunch (they picked Chipotle)  and then we went and painted pottery. It was a good fun day!

Lucy had her class pet this weekend, Cupcake. We were supposed to take it everywhere on the weekend, but I was worried we would ruin it. Our main goal was to make sure little Remy didn't eat Cupcake. It was a challenge.

We had a small group available for cheer this last weekend, but we had fun. Heidi has one more game to cheer and she might be done. This volleyball thing seems to be taking off and I'm not sure how much longer Heidi wants to cheer. I'm trying to make it as fun as possible in hopes she says yes next year.

Lucy got these glasses at Claires and wears them as much as she can. I love them. She is so funny in them.

We had a big step. I got a new job that I start February 10th and I decided to get a new phone and number instead of porting over my current number. Since I got a new phone...we gave Heidi a phone. She actually has a babysitting job coming up and with this volleyball thing, we aren't sure if we will be able to communicate during the long tournaments. Heidi tried to keep her cool, but she was VERY excited.

Lucy was excited as the deal was, Lucy got Heidi's old iPod and Lucy was SO excited. She has been listening to music getting ready and eating breakfast etc. She thinks she is so cool with it.

Busy week ahead, but that's nothing new. Winding down on my current job and preparing for the next!

Merry Christmas - Happy New Year - and Catching Up

Our lives got busy...very busy and I haven't had a chance to catch up on photos.  Here we go - this will bounce around a little...

Grandma Babs and Grandpa D came up first for Christmas and we had fun. The trip ended kind of weird as I was lucky enough to get full blown stomach flu for Christmas. I missed Christmas and was down for the count for awhile. Even a week later, I had a sensitive stomach and I may not have Chick-fil-A for awhile since that was the last thing I ate... So many of these pictures are from others!

Nana and Grandpa Jeff came up for New Years and missed the stomach flu epidemic.

Chris making me proud on Christmas...

Bev and I went shopping for some clothes on New Years Day and the rest of the crew went to Steak N Shake.

Lucy is doing so great with Gymnastics. She is loving it and I think the staff enjoy her. She has really come a long way with the basics.

Random shot of Lucy - don't even know from what!

We took Babs and D bowling. I did...awful and yes we had bumpers too! Heidi almost won until Babs came in with a record last frame to win by one!

We went to Christmas Eve mass, which was lovely.

Christmas morning through the eyes of others...

 Love it.

We have lots of pictures of Remy sleeping or relaxing... He is an active dog, but when he crashes, he crashes!

Chris gave himself a Christmas gift and installed a new air intake into his Jeep...

We took Nana and Grandpa to a hickey game and really had a good time. It was kid day or something and they had face paint and signs and all sorts of fun activities.

No idea what this picture is...

Must be rough being Remy.

End of the year cheer party...

 6th grade secret Santa party

Dinner out

 Having fun

One of my favorite Christmas gifts I got Lucy. We got our nephew Carter a similar one for his birthday and I just had to get Lucy the girl Gwen Spider-girl version!

Santa brought Nerf guns and I have to say, its been fun!

 Remy got some Christmas treats...

Science museum!

 More hockey game pictures...

Oh yeah... We lost power in our house for almost an entire day - something like 12 hours... it was fun...

Hanging out for NYE

Lucy and Remy - they are quite a pair. I'm pretty sure Remy thinks Lucy is a fellow puppy...

Lucy has been wanting to do fun hair... this was the star wars hair...

The big season begins! We are so excited for Volleyball to begin. We saw a scrimmage yesterday and the team looks good!

Lucy picked up some assessories from Claires and its adorable!

All caught up for the pictures I was able to get my hands on! Our time includes Volleyball practice, Gymnastics, Cheer and tons of WORK!
