Best Buds & Nice Weather

It was beautiful weather this week - sort of a mix bag of temp - 90 to 60 but nice weather. It was great to get out of the house and hang out outside! Plus, Chris made a bunch of food on his smoker!

Fire pit is loved by all...

Enjoying the weather...

Chris also made too much and donated some ribs to the neighbors...

Heidi and I treated ourselves to a mani pedi on Saturday. MUCH needed as it had been awhile! It was great!

With Heidi basically one week away from turning 13, Chris and I had a dinner date at Fiesta and it was glorious. We are looking forward to more "free" babysitter moments.

Rizzo and Remy are truly best buds.

Always trying to lick each other... all.the.time.

Holding hands.

Remy looking good after his haircut. We are going to let Rizzo get hairy as we want his color to stay as red as possible. I'm also combing out his undercoat and basically hand stripping his hair. We did it before with Taco and Taco stayed pretty red throughout his life. We didn't do it for Remy. We will see if it works again. Rizzo's tail and feet are really deep red and his little black beard is staying black too. I just keep combing his light puppy fur when I get a chance and it does seem dark underneath!

Dentist - Heart - End of Volleyball and more!

It was a BUSY week for sure! It started off with Lucy being a rockstar and getting a cavity filled at the dentist. She did amazing and was so calm about it.

Some of these pictures are from Chris, so they will be out of order, but Chris and Heidi traveled to Columbus to finish out this volleyball season. They stayed downtown and enjoyed sushi and well, protests too. Maybe next time they won't stay downtown and find a quieter place before a big tournament!

Heidi played well - it started off slow for their team, but they ended really well. She enjoyed herself and has really grown in her skills this year!

Random Rizzo pout.

We are determined to make this summer firsts for Lucy. Our two big goals - riding her bike and swimming. We decided to have a session on the bike and she did well. Starting and stopping are still really hard, but she was able to balance herself more and more...

We had her yearly check up and it went fantastic! First, at the hospital they make everyone wear their masks. I understand as not all masks are created equal and I know some people don't wash their masks as much as they should! We decided to both just place the masks over ours. The ones we have purchased for Lucy, seriously fit her perfectly. Even the nurse and doctor was like, your masks is better than ours! ha.

Anyways, she had her echo, ekg and other tests and we got the best news. Her heart is improving as she grows. Her murmur from her coarctation repair is gone and her other murmur is barely there. Her leakage of her pulmonary valve as decreased and her other value isn't as sticky. Also her dilated ascending aorta has improved. The doctor says her heart looks as normal as it can be. He also said she isn't high risk any more. Of course having Noonans, surgery and monitoring her heart, give her a little higher risk, but not as extreme as it looked last time. He said she is super healthy and get her back in with the kids!

Rizzo was just trying to help Lucy do her homework :)

Lucy and I had a lovely lady day while Chris and Heidi were at the tournament. We shopped and even ate out!

Hairy monster...he is getting his haircut literally right now...

I couldn't find the dogs on Sunday and they were curled up in the kennel...

3 weeks left of school, 3 weeks until our vacation.
