Back to School!

Someone is sad because there are no more kids in the house! It is FINALLY back to school!!!! 3rd and 8th grade here we come! The girls were excited and nervous to finally be starting back to school. I bet they will have a lot of fun!

Volleyball has started for their regular games - we loss a game and won a game. I'm proud of this team as they are really impressing me with their skills!

The heat and humidity were intense this weekend but Lucy was a trooper and cheered through it! She is too cute being a little cheerleader!

The patio construction got a little delayed because of weather. We went ahead and cleared everything out of the way for it to be begin!

There has been a bit of a headache with cheer uniforms this year. Our new ones are too big for these tiny girls and the sports committee reorganized the supply closet and threw away our other old ones... They basically threw away about 30 $250 uniforms - grrr.... so now I have been scrambling to try to find anything that will work with minimal cost and quick turnaround. I did come across these cheer spirit dresses that look cute on the girls. I have a friend ready to add the flare to make them St. Jude!

More volleyball...

Heidi and friends have been earning service hours for helping out with cheer practice! It makes it WAY easier on me!

And Lucy finishing her last lego set before school starts!

We are excited for this school year!

Random

As prep continues for back to school - Heidi had a perfect dentist appointment as did I :)

Lucy has been wanting to do more responsibility like make her own fruit bowl, including cutting fruit. She also did the dishes and has been doing other clean up things too.

The quick picture above is a behind the scenes shot... Our friend Nicholas has started a youtube channel called The Nerd and has a series called The Lucy Show. It is basically just those two following each other around - I think there is missing money and a secret hide out or something - but it has been fun to watch. You should check them out for sure!

I guess you could say volleyball started but the game was really rough. Our luck, our first game we went against a team who has been playing together for awhile and is a national club team. They looked like the Huskers volleyball team. These girls will go on to play in college for sure. We tried our best but overall our team just isn't ready for that level. I was very happy with Heidi's playing though! She fought through and had some great sets and even some good hits for points too!

We play again in a few days and I'm hoping it is a team more our speed! I didn't get any great shots as I was busy being the coach!

School supplies are at the school! One week until we start!

We kidnapped Izzy and went to Dinner Saturday night to enjoy the nice weather!

Sleepy puppy

Heidi had a lesson with Chris on boxing and loved it!

Lastly, just some quick shots of the boys enjoying the sun... Rizzo's teeth are coming in nicely!

Quick update

I see our lives getting busier... practices for all sports have started, some school meetings have started and all that before school appointments and paperwork is in full swing! I did not take a ton of pictures as we were running around all week and weekend.

The boys were jealous we wouldn't let them outside with us. They are doing great outside and with staying in our yard. We still have the annoying neighbor dogs that are not trained and will bark the entire time they are out. Plus their son comes out and oddly talks to them really loudly about us and it is just weird. Rizzo didn't run towards them but it is just easier to put ours inside when they come out. Hopefully the new patio set up will solve this issue!

Oh yeah - the new patio should start next week!!!

His new name is fat dog.

Enjoying the 75 degree weather!

Snuggle buddies...

This week:

1. Dentist appointments

2. First Volleyball Tournament

3. More cheer and volleyball practices

4. Lots of coaching things to do - like uniforms, game schedules, paperwork

5. Find out teachers and class assignments!

Oh yeah and of course work stuff too! :)
