Halloween and Football

First, we had a setback with Chris' back. I won't post a picture of how it looks, but he started to get some ulcers on his incision. We went to wound care, and they opened him up and packed it. Now, I get to pack it for the next week. Honestly, compared to last Thursday to even today - it looks WAY better. We go back Thursday morning. I'm not sure if they will sew him up or let it ride.  He is just very sore and beat up. I'm hoping some of the pain can go away so he can just become more mobile.

Friday night the football game was in our area. We invited a few families over to eat and have some drinks before going to the game. Then Heidi had her first official Holy Name sleepover. They had a good time. :)

Holy Name won their division. It was a fun game to go to for sure!

If you look closely - you can see Jacob and Heidi chatting - hehe.

Random Lucy...

St. Jude had Trunk-or-Treat event and Lucy was begging to go. Lucy picked out her costume - I think she is a Zombie Corpse Prom Queen. She LOVES it. I did the makeup and hair and she provided the drama.

I didn't take too many pictures as the event was huge. Also, Chris was hurting a little, so he stayed by the car in a chair for most of it. Lucy is ready for Halloween for sure!

One of Heidi's friends snapped this picture. I think they are talking more. Jacob is very shy and intimidated by Heidi and has even said she makes him so nervous, BUT I do think they are talking more. It's just hard when they can't drive and can't just hang out, plus he is dressing for Freshman, JV, AND Varisty football and she has volleyball. We will see how it goes...

High School Volleyball

This last week was crazy! So crazy. These pictures are a little jumbled, but I'm battling a cold right now and am tired. :)

Heidi had her last few high school volleyball games which we are sad it has ended, but also nice to get a break from such busy weeks!

Heidi and some friends also went to their very first haunted house. All the moms could hear them screaming from a long distance away. They said, nope, didn't like that! hahaha

Lucy playing with Remy - which is a rare event.

We decided to have an amazing meal at Fiesta. They added some new menu items and I'm amazed at how good it is. Alex was saying it is more authentic food.

Friday night, we met our new friends, the Delmores, for a quick bite and drink before the football game.

Holy Name varsity won their division! This week they are in the playoffs!

You can tell it is getting colder as the boys snuggle more.

Oh Lucy...

This week is a little quieter for us. We will be attending some of the varsity playoff games as well as our varsity football plays EC on Friday. It should be a good game!

Chicago

It was a much overdue weekend in Chicago with Val! We were determined to go and had a great 48 hours. We went to our favorite Husker bar, got deep-dish pizza, ate our oven grinders, walked a lot, and ended with a super fun Beerfest. It is always a great time!

Chris and the girls sent me a bunch of depressed dog pictures. ha

Heidi didn't have much volleyball last week, but they had a great game on Tuesday! This is their last week!

I had to capture Chris' first time out of the house in almost 2 weeks.

Val!

We were helping the bartenders name new drinks... I think Val and I have a new calling to name things. We had them rolling...

Lucy didn't like the free hat I got her...

And... we have had a lot of stress for the last couple of months... we decided to do a last minute trip coming up in December... These puppies arrived and we are excited!
