Last of Summer - First Day of School

My attempt to get completely organized before school - totally crashed and burned. HA! I did at least get some backpack bins and got a little organized...

Before school started, we did a last few summer activities...

Like Sommer Oktoberfest! It was fun....VERY hot... but a nice festival to attend...

Then fall sports have started!!! Heidi is cheering and doing volleyball. She played her first game on Saturday and did AMAZING! People could not believe she hadn't played before. I think she served twice in rotation - first time - got all 5 points with 3 aces and the second time two aces. I have a feeling she is hooked!

Remy and Lucy are quite a funny pair...

Friday was beautiful and Chris wanted to work outside... he got a little coworker to join him...

Remy's first firepit!

Celebrating Heidi's great performance with some ice cream!

Last summer hang out with some neighbors!

Now they have officially gone back to school! 1st grade for Lucy (who woke up at 4:30 in the morning ready to get dressed) and 6th grade for Heidi!

Remy doesn't like the first day of school...

And some final random pictures...

Disney for Lucy's 7th

We started off by letting Lucy open a present the day before her birthday... why? because it was telling her we were off to Disney World for the weekend!

We couldn't celebrate her birthday without going to Fiesta Jalapenos!

We finished packing and the next morning, we were off to Disney!

Fresh off the plane and the pin trading begins!

It was hot, but we can navigate the heat! First day was Hollywood Studios!

The big red bow helped with telling people it was her birthday! We had so many magical moments - front row on rides, free desserts, free drinks, stickers and pins and SO much fun! If you can go for someone's birthday - do it!

Even though we were going for Lucy's birthday - Heidi of course was beyond excited and loved it too! Plus, every chocolate thing Lucy got, Heidi got to eat it!

Sci Fi did an amazing fun event for Lucy. They made her a Junior Chef and the main Chef himself came out and helped Lucy build her birthday dessert. Lucy of course had him laughing. It was REALLY cool!

We just stayed at the value resort of Pop Century and they gave us a preferred room and it was perfect. Plenty of room, close to the main building and the rooms were remodeled too. Plus running around giant structure of every day things is fun too!

 Day 2 - Magic Kingdom!

We did rope drop (aka - get there before it opens and they let you walk to certain areas where they hold... a rope... after the castle show, the rope drops and you can work your way to whatever you want to ride).

We did Magic Kingdom like champs - rode all the rides we wanted to, beat the crowd to lunch and found lots of AC to take breaks. By 2:30, we had done basically everything we wanted to!

I was SO mad! I missed getting the 999999 score on Buzz by 11K! Chris and I were in a intense competition and he kept turning me away from the targets - booger!

And Heidi and Lucy can now legally ride together at Disney - fun!

 Free dessert for Lucy's birthday!

Haunted Mansion wins for best AC!

I think it reached 106 or 107 that day... it was hot! We called it the Devil's armpit...

We fought the heat long enough and decided we needed some shopping and drinks. Off to Disney Springs we went. We took the bus which allowed Lucy to take a quick cat nap!

We really enjoy the Coke store and their roof top bar. Great drinks for everyone. Plus there was a crazy rain storm and we were nice and dry up top! Lucy got her nap, a little sugar and then cut loose to the music!

Day 3 - Animal Kingdom and Epcot

Lucy decide she was Jasmine and she rocked her princess outfit. She was pretty darn cute being herself.

Animal Kingdom has been confirmed it is the hottest park. It has something to do with all the trees and plants and lack of air flow. Also all the rides are pretty spread out. In other words, we don't last long there.

 Sweat.

We did what we wanted at Animal Kingdom and off to Epcot we went. It is our favorite and just can relax there.

 More magical moments for Lucy...

Our last day was spent at Epcot all day. We got the girls passports so we could visit each country and we just had a great time running around. It rained a little which was appreciated as it cooled things down!

Our room service making a special scene for the kids!

 Back home we went!

Lucy had a blast! She was so funny running around and every time someone would wish her happy birthday - she would giggle.

It was a perfect 7th birthday. We won't be going back to Disney for awhile. We say 2021 now... can we stay away? We will see!
