Lucy Heart Update

Random pictures at first...Heidi has been keeping up with volleyball drills in the backyard and lifting some weights too... I think she is feeling buff - hehe

Lucy during her reading intervention classes this summer. Her reading is finally taking off!

We had Lucy's heart appointment. We saw a new doctor as they opened a clinic really close to our home and the doctor we have been seeing was promoted to head of the department. Lucy was a rockstar as always and even didn't mind wearing her mask the whole time. It does not seem to bug Lucy to wear a mask - which is awesome.

 Lucy selfies...

The appointment went well. We have always been monitoring her pulmonary valve for leaks since her repair of it. It was the same, which is a win - not any better and not any worse. We will continue to monitor that. The doctor also said he was very impressed with her coarc repair and the murmur related to that is almost gone. (She still has a murmur related to her valve issues) He said he hasn't seen a more perfect repair than hers. He did discover a new issue. Nothing to go stress over but something we will monitor. Her ascending aorta is mildly dilated. He said the range was 1.6 to 2 for regular and she is 2.3. If we see it widen to 4, she would need meds and anything above that would require replacement surgery. He said we are a long way from that and most likely will never get there. Lucy is growing as expected and a healthy girl!

The subscription boxes are great! The girls have been completing their activities to help fight boredom during the week. Heidi is currently making clay pots!

Selfie by Lucy - she is modeling her new sunglasses!

Food Truck Saturday...edible cookie dough and a mix food place. Fun as always and gives us something to do!

Ending with two random pictures of Remy... Remy falling asleep in an uncomfortable position...

And Remy sitting very oddly on the chair...

Happy Birthday Chris!

We have been getting all these subscription boxes for the girls - we just had to get one for Remy too! It is really cute. He got two toys, a few treats and some chew things. Remy loves it!

It was really hot on Saturday - so we did some outside activities but also cooled off inside.

Lucy was beyond excited to go putt-putt golfing. This was her first time out and doing something since March. She had only been to the food trucks in our neighborhood and a couple of Jeep rides. We went later in the afternoon and they weren't busy. We really didn't even have to worry about social distancing as it was natural there. We used plenty of hand sanitizer, brought our own putters and wore masks when walking through the main building.  It was a great change in pace!

After a break from the heat, we went to the food trucks. This time was BBQ!

Sunday was double duty for Chris. His birthday and father's day. Chris loves cake. I do not. After discussing it with him - we decided he should just ordered his own cake and I will go pick it up. I don't know what is funnier - the fact he had them write - I bought my own cake - or that he didn't verify they spelled his name correctly. Awesome.

Heidi made my a giant card for my birthday. Chris joked his had to be bigger - so she made is 4X bigger!

Heidi insisted he wanted AirPods Pro or Max or whatever... doesn't he look cool and hip? um...

I have never owned a dog that just wanted to be outside. Taco hated grass but would sunbathe sometimes and Brew didn't know where he was half the time. Remy is go and lay in the grass or on the patio all the time. He doesn't try to leave or anything but will lay out there for at least an hour. He is wonderful about staying in the yard, even with birds, squirrels and cats coming by! He is really a great dog. He is well behaved and the biggest issue is still him trying to steal Lucy's toys to chew. Besides that, we have a great pup.

Lucy wanted to try on Chris' new shirt...

Heidi stole Chris' new bucket hat and she was in charge of making the popcorn that ended up being dinner - it is really good popcorn.

And one last random picture - I got up to workout and found Lucy wanting to be on her iPad so bad, but it was early and it was bright... it was funny...

Beautiful Weekend

It feels like summer, but a nice - not too hot - summer so far. We are falling into our new routine at home - working remotely, Remy sleeping all day and Lucy trying to entertain herself.

The weather looked good for a while, so we set up Heidi's birthday present of a volleyball net. It's HUGE! Heidi loves it and we approved a play date with two of her friends. They did a great job of using hand sanitizer and keeping a part. It has been fun playing volleyball.

Lucy and Remy try to go outside as much as possible. It's really cute.

Saturday afternoon, our neighborhood had two food trucks come. One was an amazing pizza place and the other a popsicle stand that had all sorts of flavors (and adults flavors too). We decided to pull up and we met the Belciks there. The idea was to all have a popsicle and then head home... 4 hours later - it was a great hang out and much needed socializing.

We finished the evening with a family fire pit and relaxing.

Sunday was about craft projects and starting to finally clean and organize things. The girls want to earn pin trades, so I came up with a "to do" group of tasks. Heidi was on a mission to earn some pins - she organized and cleaned the upstairs closets and organized and cleaned our DVD holder. Big improvement for sure!

Heidi's felt project from KiwiCo. She enjoyed it!

 Lucy made a crane game.

And one final quick picture - Lucy LOVES this little romper and wears it every time she can find it - for some reason is loves to pair it with school socks. Love it.
