First the positives from the last week...Little Rizzo - not any bigger but still adorable...
It was picture day at school! Both girls chose their own outfits and styling and I love it. Lucy just loves a photo shoot!
I was showering and came out to this snuggle fest...

Heidi was at high school test prep, so we enjoyed the nice weather at Fiestas!
Now onto the bad news...
Thursday at recess, Heidi was playing with the girls and they were throwing the football around. A group of boys was just watching the girls, as they do in 8th grade, and one of the boys did a "hey - watch this" - and whipped a random ball at Heidi as she was full speed running with the football. That ball caught her left pinky and snapped it. It was thrown hard enough to break her finger. It is broken. She now can't play volleyball and it is her 8th grade year plus she has club JO tryouts in a few weeks. We are so sad for Heidi. I think each day it sinks in the severity of her injury.
We go to the hand specialist on Wednesday to see if it is a brace or cast and how long do we have to heal before some playing can resume. I have a feeling Wednesday will be a sad day... Heidi is really hoping for some good news... but it isn't a small break...
The lower part of her pinky is what is broken. That is why the top of her finger looks like it is trying to take a trip elsewhere. The finger did line up and we don't think surgery is needed, but we will know more on Wednesday.
Heidi's first game of her sitting out and it was rough. I feel bad for her... Let's hope for some good news on Wednesday!
