A Little Christmas...

Our week didn't start off great with Heidi coming down with the flu, Lucy having gone through her 3rd round of antibiotics and STILL having a fever and me coming down with viral pink eye. Great way to start the holidays!

But we bounced back in time to celebrate Christmas with Grandma Babs and Grandpa Darrell!

I think they have enough presents.

Chris smoked a pork butt and it was delicious!

Heidi was up very early on Christmas morning - which wasn't really a surprise. I bet many families were in the same boat. Lucy was sleeping hard. After as much delay as we could - we let Heidi go ahead and open her stocking until sleepy head Lucy decided to join everyone!

The girls were having fun opening the presents from Santa...but it wouldn't be complete without a melt down from Lucy... Luckily for us - Lucy tends to bounce right back and she did in time to enjoy her new 4-way tunnel!

After some breakfast it was off to open the very large pile of presents from everyone! We opened all the way until Noon!

Thanks Matt.

Lucy hit gifts overload and had to have a few quiet moments before jumping back in.

Chris asked for a large spatula to help with him smoking meat and that is what I found.

I don't know who was having more fun dressing the American Girl dolls - my mom or Heidi.

We officially fried a turkey and we did not burn down the house!

We of course had some fun with the large spatula! Chris was genuinely scared. :)

The girls just love having Grandma and Grandpa in town!

Yes - the turkey tasted as good as it looks.

See the tunnel is for everyone!

We almost had a disaster - the Santa main gift for Heidi (Claw Game) took batteries we did not have and it was a little questionable. But after some trial and error - it is up and running and actually a lot of fun!

Happy 12th birthday Taco!

It was a great Christmas! Their trip was short but we packed it as full as possible! We even got in some discount Christmas shopping! Now we are waiting for our next visitors to help ring in the New Year!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for a great time!
