RIZZO!

Ready for picture overload?!?! We finally got our new family member. Heidi and I drove to pick up the little guy and he is just too cute. He is TINY. I believe he is the smallest puppy we have ever had. He is 10 weeks and when I put him on my food scale, he weighed 2.14 pounds! He has tiny paws and a tiny nose. If you look at Remy when he was 10 weeks, he looks like a giant even back then. It will be interesting to see how big Rizzo will get.

So now we have Remy - the rat chef from Ratatouille and Rizzo the rat chef from the muppets. Seems perfect to me!

The Remy and Rizzo intro went as expected. Remy was very excited at first and maybe too excited. He played a little rough and Rizzo wasn't 100% on board yet. Then Remy did get a little aggressive with his food and some toys, but we corrected him and now he is just wonderful with him.

Lucy is amazing with Rizzo. She always had some mixed emotions about the dogs but honestly, he just follows her around and watches her play. I see her talking to him randomly and will pick him up for a snuggle. It is very cute.

Once Remy learned Rizzo's limits - now they play and play and play.

Remy has needed some extra naps!

Rizzo's little paw prints in the water...

Rizzo had never been outside and he loves it. He has been fantastic with potty training. We have had only two accidents. Once when he first arrived and we have a tiny one in Lucy's room after playing super hard. He isn't telling us he has to go potty yet, but we have been pushing saying potty and poop and he knows he gets a treat afterwards! It really helps to have another dog show him the way.

We also took him on a walk - just 10 houses, but he did well! Once again he was basically following Remy.

He is a snuggler too. He has to be by someone for a nap... I don't mind :)

If getting a new puppy wasn't enough, Chris got some new games for our basement. He has been talking about them for awhile and the ones he wanted finally became available. I have to admit, they are fun!

I love this picture.

It took some intervention but now we can feed the dogs together. Remy doesn't get aggressive but I do have to hang around to make sure Remy doesn't eat Rizzo's food.

He is so tiny - the American Girl doll clothes fit him perfectly.

This is a doll bean bag.

Other side note - Heidi has been doing great with her tongue therapy. It is teaching her how to place your tongue etc. She has been wearing a brace now for three weeks and it is crazy how much her teeth have already straightened out! Her breathing has also improved a ton. She isn't waking up with a sore throat and her ringing in her ears has improved. Who knew all of this could be connected to a tongue?

Saturday was beautiful!

Easter! The girls enjoyed their gifts from everyone and I sent them on a 3 egg hunt.

Lucy modeling her new jumper...

The girls wanted to do a craft - so Lucy painted a box and Heidi painted some shoes.

I bathed Rizzo in the sink...he was getting stinky...

Rizzo definitely feels more comfortable about us now - he is spunky, barks and wants to play - like he tried to attack Lucy's slippers! I'm just happy potty training is going well, Remy likes him and Rizzo has been sleeping through the night.
