High School and Hockey

We had another weekend without any solid plans, which is lovely. We decided to go to a hockey game and to a nice dinner as a family. It was fun!

Chris got a new toy for the basement - he has had his eye on this one for a while and it finally went on sale. The girls love it and it will be fun for all four of us to play at once.

Heidi had her 8th-grade meeting at her new high school. The meeting was full of information and at the end, they got everyone in for a picture. The administration said the class is approximately 185 students!

We are about to start the busy season for school, volleyball, and general things! It was nice to slow down this weekend and get some things done around the house. 

Snow...

We have entered weird weather - it would warm up - snow- warm up and snow... The kids didn't have school Friday or Monday and I think they would have had a snow day last Friday because of ice!

We went shopping for Valentine's Day this weekend and the girls were trying to earn as much money as possible... Heidi actually cleared the driveway! 

My Valentine's gift finally arrived for Chris - Cheesecake from Juniors in New York...

We have a tradition of getting dinner Friday nights - we get a beer - wait for food and relax a little... They are like mini-dates.

Heidi's yard sign finally arrived! We did our best to take pictures in front of it but it was about 15 degrees, bright and windy!

Lucy had a birthday party for one of her friends at Play CLE...so we all went. Heidi had fun running around and Lucy did too! The only pictures I have of Lucy are from far away this week - she is in black pants and a light purple shirt!

Volleyball, Braces, and HIGH SCHOOL

Volleyball has begun! We have spent our last two weekends hanging out at the Cedar Point Sports Center. We get a little break now as it goes in spurts. Two weekends of volleyball then 3 weeks off through May. Heidi played well. The team did ok as they are still trying to figure out the best combination of people. They finished 9th overall this last weekend, which was great! We hope they keep improving and keep climbing in the ranks! We are looking forward to more fun weekends!

Heidi got her braces!!!!!!! She had a couple of rough days but seems to be adjusting to them better. The orthodontist estimates it will be 18 months. We will see how it goes!

Then we received the BEST news - Heidi got into her High School of choice - Holy Name! They sent her a welcome package filled with goodies and she picks up more when we head to the welcome meeting in a couple of weeks. She is beyond thrilled! She is the only one of her friends attending this school and of her 4 closest friends, they are all going to different schools. Heidi wants high school to start now but is also enjoying her 8th-grade year. We are very proud of Heidi!

The art we purchased at Disney has arrived! We love the pieces! This weekend we plan to figure out where to hang them.

This week is cheer wrap up and the girls have a 4 day weekend ahead! I'm looking forward to being home all weekend and maybe actually unpacking 100% from Disney!
