Quick Update

The hairy beasts finally got haircuts this week! They look and SMELL so much better!

All these volleyball pictures look the same, but Heidi's leg has healed and she is back in full time. We had two away games this last week, but this week they are both at home and we should be able to see the live streams. We just have 6 more games and this first season of high school volleyball is done! 

Lucy is loving having some activities herself and is adorable in her dance outfit. 

Chris and I have discovered a perk of the dance location and there is a great cafe a few doors down. We enjoyed a breakfast date while Lucy was in class and it as wonderful.

Chris is currently getting surgery literally right now on his back. I'm hoping for a clean, safe surgery and for him to receive relief on his back  - finally!

Fun Weekend

 

This week/weekend had a little of everything... volleyball, friends, festival, and more. We had the new version of the St. Jude festival this weekend. It was fun. They did it slightly different this year with food trucks, Browns tailgate, and fewer activities. We found AC and had fun just the same. We still managed to win 7 cakes though...

We adopted Heidi's new friend Paige for the weekend. Her family went to Florida and Paige did not want to miss school or volleyball. We had fun for sure.

Paige had never been to Crocker Park, so 3 hours of shopping it was.

The boys are VERY hairy and actually get groomed today, but they were very interested in Paige's items.

Fun after volleyball. Heidi had her first injury and went out for the entire game. Her calf cramped but did not release for 2 days. The trainer thought it might be where it cramps so bad, that it actually pulls or strains the muscle. The trainers worked with her and she is back to normal now. 

Chris got his haircut and Lucy apparently got a massage!

As you can tell, we were very busy this weekend, with a variety of things going on! This week is also busy, but I think we are getting used to the craziness. Lucy started Improv and is in LOVE with it. She came out of the class and goes, these are my people! Then she also started dance classes and also loved it. She said the teacher couldn't believe she hadn't taken dance before. I just think Lucy is excited to do her own things and it isn't volleyball! :)

High School is in full swing...

We are preparing for Heidi's homecoming dance and did a marathon of dress shopping on Saturday. We tried on close to 100 dresses from 7 different stores and finally found the one. Warning - tight and short is in... We luckily found one that is stretchy and doesn't ride up when she walks.

Of course, there is more volleyball! We have games twice a week and will have games twice a week through October! Heidi had a fantastic game versus Lakewood. She scored 13 points in a row serving and had 5 kill shots from the backrow. Their team is figuring things out and it has been fun to watch!

We decided our Friday night entertainment was to go to the high school football game. It was a beautiful day and night.

Here is Heidi's dress. Believe it or not, there was one of the longer ones we tried on. She looks really adorable in it. We purchased some new shoes and now she still needs to find a date (she is going to go no matter what). There is a prospect for a date and Heidi hopes to be asked this week but this fellow. :)

The weather was beautiful, so we watched Husker football on the patio and enjoyed a nice fire.

 This week is more volleyball but also Lucy finally starts her acting and dance classes! Big week!
