Memorial Day Party

 

We had our 9th annual Sunday of Memorial Weekend Party! The weather was NOT in our favor and it rained most of the evening. That didn't stop people from hanging outside and still enjoying themselves. In true party mode - Chris and I did not take pictures but at least we left our phones lying around and we have plenty of random selfies and pictures from other people. Our favorite is the large amount of selfies from Jenn we have! Love it. 

A+ on the meat! It was the best he has done - Sausage, pork butt, and ribs! So good!

We had an old pop-up tent trying to give some coverage during the rain but it was half broken... Jenn came up with a solution though. :) The wind would blow randomly and it would dump a whole bunch of water on some unlucky bystander. I got hit a couple times and didn't dry out until late at night! It made for some fun for sure. 

Fun weekend in the books. We even got it all cleaned up by 2pm on Monday and we were able to relax a bit. Now we have the last week of school and we are ready for summer!

We all voted and Chris should NOT wear these glasses with this haircut. He looks like he owns a windowless van and wants to ask you to pet his puppy...

Anyways - these pictures are always a little out of order, but Chris fixed the hole! We had our basketball hoop cut down (by a bunch of drunk neighbors) and then it sat there for a while. We tried to get our concrete guy to help us and after a few no-shows, we decided it needed to get taken care of before our Memorial Day party. I'm sure our neighbors loved us with a jack-hammer at 9am on a Sunday!

Oh Lucy...

Lucy is all about volleyball and so far Heidi has been very patient in teaching her.

We all went to the new IFs movie. Everyone loved it. It is different than what I thought it was, but better than expected. It makes you cry just to warn you~

And lastly, Remy has been super itchy and has an ear infection - so off to the vet. Turns out, he is allergic to pollen and is on some meds, but we have to go back to get a more permanent solution. We will see...

Happy Volleyball Day - I mean Mother's Day...

 

We spent the weekend with our very last volleyball tournament of the season. Mother's Day was a lovely 12 hours at the place that was 3.5 hours away from home. Nothing like waking up at 4:30am and getting home at 11pm.  We saw some bad volleyball but then ended well and we ended up second in our division. Heidi played well even though her hip was injured. Nice to get a medal at the end to finish out the season!

We drove up to the tournament the day before and did some shopping before the games... Heidi was scared of these shoes - ha!

Luckily we had Friday at home and enjoyed the wonderful weather for a bit. 

Crazy hair day for Lucy... You can tell school is ramping down as we have hit the "spirit" weeks and I believe next week starts the dressdown every day! 13 more days in school!

We made the best of the weekend being we had to be at volleyball. I unfortunately got sick and am still recovering  - I'm sure it was the super long day and being around a billion different people. Hopefully, I recover in the next day or two!
