We Survived Week One!

We survived week one of school and honestly, it went well. Heidi is in LOVE with remote school. It is literally perfect for her - there are exact times for everything, everything is like a list of "to dos" and she can wear whatever she wants on the bottom of her uniform and have a blanket on her if she wants. Lucy is loving it too. We experienced more technical difficulties with her class. Many driven by the teacher as accidents and still learning the technology and then her laptop she has from school sometimes just needs to log off and log back on. But I heard laughing and learning and Lucy answering questions etc. I think it might actually be working!

Heidi has been having some ringing in one of her ears that isn't going away. The doctor thought it was best if she got a MRI and make sure there isn't anything going on. We haven't received the results yet, but should this week!

I just think Lucy is adorable in her little school sweatshirt and bow! I like how Heidi looks all school ready and then is wearing gym shorts!

I posted this on social media, but thought I would share here too. Lucy had to complete a poster for school and she has some pretty funny answers. It was all about being a super hero... She wants to make the world a better place by giving it makeup. My favorite answer is the section that talks about who is her hero - you would think most kids write like Spiderman or a parent or something - she wrote Lady Gaga... that is Lucy for you.

We took advantage of the nice weather on Friday and enjoyed some time outdoors. I love how much Heidi wants to learn things. She learned how to fill up her bike tires with the air compressor.

We had another volleyball game at St Jude. The team didn't play that well - Heidi did well and had fun - that's all that really matters!

Saturday night was game night! We al played a mean game of Toy Story Monopoly. I think Chris was cheating...

Next up was movie time to finish out the night...

Chris was SUPER excited for Sunday - there was actual football on TV! A sport! They dressed in their Browns gear and watched the game - ok - well Chris watched the game - I took a nap - Heidi was on her phone upstairs and Lucy played on her ipad... but there was football! :)

Another baking kit for Heidi! She does them 100% on her own now - love it!

We are ready for week 2 of school!
