It was Lucy's YES weekend - she determined everything we ate and did all weekend and it was a fun weekend! We had Sushi, Boba, steak, biscuits and gravy, mini golf, friends over, Fiesta, and more!
First, we finished bringing the games upstairs; they are an excellent addition! We need to rearrange them and shift things a bit, but it makes our upstairs more fun!
Second, Heidi made JV volleyball! Yeah! volleyball pictures are today, so more to come!
Chris finished installing the new microwave. We are still dealing with the dishwasher, but the replacement part has arrived.
Sleepy Remy...
Lucy wanted Texas Roadhouse and said she wanted a huge steak - so Chris ordered her a 16oz steak! Don't worry, she didn't finish and we had plenty come home with us!
Lucy is very much into mushroom decor right now...
We had the Belciks come over to help celebrate and Lucy B and Heidi decided to make Lucy a coffee cake (her favorite). Now we had a great lesson in measurements as to how much 2/3 cup is. Heidi added 1 2/3 cup water because the 2/3 line had worn off the measuring cup... They winged it, added more ingredients, and in the end, the cake was still delicious!
I have a video, but it is too large to upload - The kids put on another Nicholas play and it was pretty funny.
It wouldn't be a birthday weekend without Blue Sushi!
And Boba!
We also went to a new mini golf place with over-the-top decor and fun holes.
We all ditched the 3-D glasses after a few holes, tripping over everything and losing our balls.
Heidi tripped...
The only bad thing this weekend was as we were away - our mailbox was hit for the 6th time... Boo...
This was the first time it was hit from the OTHER direction and the young lady who hit it had her wedding the night before and a family commented that she was too tired to drive. We all have a feeling she might have fallen asleep at the wheel.
She hit is hard enough to be taken away in an ambulance with some leg injuries. Now we get to rebuild it and have that fun in our future. We are so grateful to have awesome neighbors who all stepped in and helped as we were gone!
Our new neighbors are very grateful the driver stopped in our driveway as she was headed straight for their car!
