New York

We ran off the New York again for a short weekend get-away as Chris had a customer Christmas party to attend again. It was cold, snowy, crowded but still very fun to see New York during the holidays.

We started off the trip correctly with enjoying literally the best pizza ever. It was so fresh and light and delicious.

Next we bounced around to a couple of bars and just had some fun. It was Santa Con on Saturday - which basically meant a ton of 20-30 year olds all decked out in Santa costumes and other Christmas fun - bar hopping across neighborhoods in New York. It was fun to watch the craziness around us.

At this point we were supposed to head to a muppet magic show on broadway. This was supposed to be the highlight of the trip but about 3 hours before the show, Chris realized he didn't have the tickets, he immediately got on with the help chat to try to solve it.  As he was doing so, I went internet digging and I didn't have to get too far: The show had been cut short and cancelled. There was no show. We confirmed it with the theater, the magicians official statement on social media and even some news outlets. The ticket app just hadn't caught up. We were so bummed, but we made the best of the night anyways!

We ended the night at a comedy club, which was great!

Sunday was a MUCH slower day. Walking around for over 16 hours, drinking, eating, being in the crowds, and the cold weather wiped us out! We grabbed breakfast - recovered and eventually made our way to a fun sports bar to watch volleyball. Very sad about Husker volleyball and their loss.

We had just enough time to get dressed up and head to the Christmas party. This time the event was way up high on the 60th floor and the view was SO cool. The camera does not do justice for the amazing view.

It was another lovely long night with lots of food, dancing, drinks and business. The last day was a quick turn around with of course getting a bagel and then flying out to get back to the girls!

Now it is finishing prepping for Christmas!!!!
