What a week and weekend. So much! Going in order of how the pictures decided to upload...
Lucy had her last tournament with her team and she did amazing! It was the best we have seen her play. So many saves and she was focused and impressive. The highlight - Lucy normally doesn't serve during games. She has when the other servers aren't doing well as a last attempt. She can serve, but it is still very new and really hasn't gotten more than 2 over in a row to date.
Well, it was the last tournament and the other servers weren't doing well. The coaches decided to let her serve and she did not disappoint. She made all her serves over during the games, except for just 2 and those 2 she missed were after getting other serves over. AND she had 3 aces! 3!
The best was one game she served an ace on not only the set winning point, but the game/match winning point in a close match. Everyone loved it. Every parent, teammate, and coach were so happy for Lucy and it was beyond awesome. One of those really proud moments for Lucy. We are so happy Lucy got to have one of those awesome moments of being the hero.
We are so happy Lucy ended on such a high note for volleyball. Now it is the waiting game to see if the club decides to keep the team or not. Lucy is unsure of her next steps with volleyball but we will figure it out in the next couple of weeks!
Chris has started his poker table journey. Chris made a poker table like 15 years ago and wanted to try again for the graduation party and to just have one. So far so good! Documenting the progress.
We are in the mode of getting things done - every extra day we are working on our to do list for graduation as well as trying maximize our time with Heidi before she escapes to college. On the list was an annoying slow leak in one of my tires. Luckily, it was covered under warranty and it just meant a little time spent Saturday morning getting it handled. Lucy has really be into reading lately and her favorite are teenage romance novels. Oh boy.
May 1st is the college selection day for Seniors. Heidi's class paints their school skirts with their college and then wears them for the last week. Heidi is done this Friday!!! Crazy.

So proud of Heidi. This month is extremely busy but we are trying to enjoy these last few moments.
ANNDDDD Wednesday was our 20th wedding anniversary! Holy cow. We decided to both take the day and run around Cleveland. Our original plans had to be scrapped as the weather was pretty crappy - cold and rainy, but we were gone from about 8am to 8pm. We had breakfast, Top Golf, a movie, a couple stops at our favorite places, like Fiesta and then ended with a very nice dinner at Strip that I of course didn't take any pictures of the amazing food - oh well. It was a really fun day and I'm glad we could do it.
Ok - it wasn't like we set out to see Super Mario Brothers Galaxy or whatever movie we saw - it was the only one that worked in the time we had. We had the theater to ourselves and Chris joked he bought the theater out for me. Ha. Was the movie good - no, but it had some fun moments that made it ok and we had fun just the same. It was probably good no one else was in there with us because we definitely said our opinions out loud a few too many times when the movie went bad.
Its the last week of school for Heidi, more things to do around the house, and Lucy starts shadowing high schools this week! May is going to fly.
