3:00 am
So Heidi decided she didn't really want to sleep last night - and was WIDE awake for a good portion of the night - from about midnight to 4:30 am - lucky me - so I figured since I was up and she was up and we weren't going to bed anytime soon - I could snap some pictures of her. So welcome to the 3:00 am photo session - enjoy!
Girls Day Out
Yesterday Christina, Kendall, Grandma Babs, Heidi and I all ventured out for our first Ming's trip and for a little shopping! I was a little worried how the trip started out - Heidi was fussy and did not like getting into the car seat - so it delayed the trip a wee bit - then I went to pick up Christina and Kendall and she said she had some issues - so we fed the wee little girls some more and put them in a milk induced comatose and we were off.
We made it through the entire 4 hours of being out and about without a peep from either baby - that is a true miracle in itself. Ming's was of course wonderful - man I could eat it everyday. By the way - Anne is the cutest preggo lady ever around - she has this tiny belly and this glow to her - I'll have to chase her down for a picture!
Then the day trip continued to this odd maternity store that sells special custom fit nursing bras - or I have named them - contraptions. The experience included being man-handled by the specialist and thinking I look a little like Madonna from the 80s - but I guess its what I need - I just hope I don't poke someone's eye out when I hug them.

Happy Father's Day!
We celebrated our first father's day. Here is a picture of Grandpa Hefe holding Kendall and Heidi - Heidi on the left and Kendall on the right - its baby time here in Omaha!

Nothing like holding your precious new baby and she looks up and smiles at you - then lets out the loudest, juiciest fart....awww motherhood....
One Week Down...
The first week went well - we had a good and bad moments - which are to be expected. Overall though, we are very lucky to have a good baby - she hasn't made it too difficult! Chris went back to work today - it was nice having him home - but luckily, he can come home early and he has a very flexible schedule.
Oh and if anyone is wondering - yes I still itch and I still have the PUPPP rash - but I think its getting better - at least that is what I need to tell myself. It gets a little crazy around here if my Benadryl wears off and Heidi is upset - makes for a exciting time! They say it should be gone by the end of this week - let's hope - I would love not to itch!

Introducing Heidi Leigh Gonzales
The Gonzales family has grown - we gave birth to Heidi Leigh Gonzales Saturday June 7th at 8:22 am. (Yes the birthday is 06/07/08 - fun!) She is 7lbs 13oz - 20 1/2 inches long and has tons of hair - which explains the heartburn!
We're in week one of having her home and I have to honestly say - things are going well. We had a good night last night - even though she refuses to sleep in the pack n play - she does sleep in the swing - fine by me where ever she sleeps!
I will post some pictures of her - she is just so cute - if I do say so myself! haha - I think its a good combo of Chris and I - here is what we can tell so far - Chris' mouth, my nose, we think my eyes, my scoul and best of all, Chris' legs - so she WILL have ankles!
We are truly enjoying being parents - I think this is the best thing that has ever happened to me!

9 Months...
5/12/08 (36 Weeks)
Another week down...
Sorry - no new baby from Christina yet - we are all waiting... Poor Christina, she is miserable. Let's hope she goes soon! Sally, her mom, comes in Wednesday - so maybe that will kick start the labor! Either that or spicy Mings - hey it worked last time...
Went to the doctor today and I'm 1 cm dilated and 50% efaced - yeah! Moving right along! The doctor and I were talking about that Christina and I could be very close together - Christina could go past her due date - sorry Christina - and I could go early - sorry - I have to say I like the going early part! (Sorry - we have the same doctor - I think I have said that before - maybe not). The exam, honestly, wasn't bad at all - thank god!
My next appointment is next week - let's all keep our fingers crossed for more progress!
Chris and I completed the baptism class for church - so now we just have to pick a date and we can get GIPette baptized anytime. The class was just fine - I like this church - WAY better than the other church. Also - the baptisms don't take place during the regular Mass - which is very nice - I don't have to force our relatives to sit through a whole service.Mother's day was fun - Chris got me a mom-to-be motivational present. He gave me a nice diamond necklace - jackpot! I wasn't expecting anything - so that is cool - I just happened to mention awhile back that Matt gave Christina a very very nice necklace at the hospital when Blake was born - so ladies out there - it doesn't EVER hurt to drop a hit or two! hehe

I'm an Aunt again!!!
Kendall Ann Kahler was born this morning at 2:48 am to Matt and Christina Kahler - 7 lbs 2 oz, 19.5 inches long. Mom and baby are doing really well! Chris and I are heading over this morning to check out the new bundle of joy and I will post pictures at that time!
We were all there last night - she was progressing fast and when she got to the hospital around 7 pm she was already 7 cm!!! But in true Christina fashion, once she got to the hospital and got some good ole drugs - she slowed down. We hung out until about midnight and decided we were not going to pull an all-nighter like last time and would check her out in the morning - which is good since she didn't come to almost 3 am!
Don't worry I was drilling Christina with questions and paying WAY more attention to details when I was in the room - hehe Let's see how close these babies will be to each other!
Other side note - the vet called - the cyst removed from Brewski's head is a tumor from a hair follicle - completely benign. He is going to be a.o.k. Yeah!

Doctor
Another week down and no progress - No Whammies, No Whammies, No Whammies - STOP - so I'm still 50% and 1cm... oh well - in all reality - I don't have to make progress to go into labor - but it would be nice to know this cramping and pain is leading somewhere!
Plus I'm 37 weeks and like 3 days or whatever - so I do have some time left - not a lot - but some time - I told Chris I'll wait nicely until after memorial weekend - then let's get a move on things!
Things are good - nothing too exciting to report - Kendall is doing great - Christina and her went home on Friday and I guess she is doing great - a little pooping machine!I really don't have anything to report here - everyone be thinking progress, let's make some progress...

Nothing too much to report here. I'm about the same. My belly itches soooo bad! I can manage not to itch it during the day and re-apply lotion and everything but at night - I wake up itching it - oops. Oh well - I'm hoping that I don't have that much longer!
Kendall is doing well - she is super cute - momma Christina is doing well too.
Everyone is guessing when she will come - I hope sooner or later! ha! My co-workers I think are having a pool! My boss says she can't come until June 4th after 3 pm so I can complete my big executive report for the big wigs - ha! Chris thinks it will be June too. I'm hoping next week or heck this weekend. I'm just going to try to keep active and when she comes - she comes!
Oh and if you haven't seen - I have major swelling in my feet and ankles and sometimes my hands - don't worry - I don't have high blood pressure or anything - I'm just one of those lucky ones. My co-worker said I had Shrek feet - nice. I can only wear flip flops - which anyone knows me - I hate flip flops - I always have - but is it sad when you can't even wear your mom shoes that you bought for the pregnancy? I put my feet up when I can and walks do help - but my feet are a site to see and no - I will not take pictures.My next doc appointment is Tuesday - besides that - we will be just hanging out at home or with family...maybe I should play rockband to help it along...
Another Doc Appt Down... Still no Baby
So no baby... Still waiting...
I just got back from my doc appointment - my belly still itches like mad - she told me to use a corn starch lotion - I'm hoping that helps - I'm good during the day - but at night - I itch like mad and I wake up all the time to me itching - nice.
I'm still 1cm - but she said I'm softer - so I'm a little more efaced - but still no real progress. damn - oh well. I have a feeling I'm just going to go into labor - something will trigger it.
My next appointment is Monday and she said she will strip my membranes then and if I haven't gone that week - I think she will induce - especially since she is going out of town the day after I'm due - I think... I don't mind - just bring it on!
She checked the positioning and all is good - she is head down and facing the right way - so everything is in good position to go. She joked that with all the storms - they see a surge of babies because of the atmosphere pressure or whatever - I'm hoping that is true!!! Come on storms!
Chris and I went and ate wonderful Mings for lunch - I had - spicy Hot and Sour Soup and spicy beef lo mein - I hope it works! I joked with Anne that if I "go" tonight - I'll just text her saying - Mings Worked!Well - everyone hope that the next time I write - its because I just gave birth!
Itching Skin...
Holy Cow - my skin itches - sorry - I have to bitch for a second! Like I understand why my belly is itching because it is getting bigger and those lovely stretch marks - but basically yesterday my legs and arms started to itch - its not like I have a rash or anything - but it kind of looks like I have a mild sun burn. My skin tone is a slight pink and it isn't from itching...
I called the doctor and she isn't too nervous about it - tonight I get to take a special kind of bath - something with oatmeal and something from Aveeno - then I get to get drugged up on Benadryl and that should help. I just need to keep the dogs from eating out of the bath. hehe
She said if it continues I get to go to a dermatologist tomorrow. nice.
Well we are expecting some major storms tonight and the pressure should lower a lot - come on baby - I hope she comes tomorrow because of the activity tonight - then maybe the name will be stormy or windy...Everyone be thinking - labor - labor - labor!

I didn't progress enough this last week for the doctor in order to do an induction - boo - she thinks I may go past due my due date - boo and she goes out of town for a week this weekend - boo again - so she said "if" we need to induce - it won't be until the 15th... but hey - at least that is Christina's birthday!
She did sweep my membranes - which - unless I missed something - didn't hurt - it was like 1, 2, 3 done - nice. Maybe by some miracle it will jump kick something into gear...
I'm still one big rash - nice - they actually think its environmental that the lovely pregnancy has made me super sensitive and I'm having an allergic reaction to something - like my clothes or soap or something. So basically I'm trying not to itch - taking cold showers - and oatmeal baths - let's just put it this way - its 1:30 in the morning right now - how do you think its going... I should be sleeping...
My good friend Gina is getting induced today (Tuesday) YEAH! - I can't wait for Gavin to get here - so that is some exciting news. Anne finds out what she is having today - YEAH! I think she is having a boy - or maybe I just want that so they can marry and live happily ever after - right? hehe Well, I'm going to go take some Benadryl and try to get more sleep - oh and not itch...right.

Anne came over last night and said she was bringing me food - it was like a scene out of a movie...the front door swung open and I could hear angels sing and there was beautiful Anne holding two large bags of Mings.
Anne and I went shopping for a little bit for girl clothes - which was fun! It was so nice to be out of the house and doing something - helps pass the time! Thanks Anne!Still playing the waiting game... keep your fingers crossed...
P.U.P.P.P anyone?
So my lovely itchy self finally made it to a dermatologist that knows what they are doing! He looked me over and he is almost 100% sure it has nothing to allergies. He is almost 100% sure I am lucky enough to develop the P.U.P.P.P. (Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy) - which is according to the internet:
Appearance of PUPPPThe rash of PUPPP almost always begins in the stretch marks of the abdomen. It does not involve the belly button distinguishing it from other common rashes of pregnancy. The rash itself consists of small, red wheals in the stretch marks that grow together to form larger wheals on the abdomen. Over the next several days, the rash can spread over the thighs, buttocks, and arms.
The rash is very itchy, or pruritic, hence the name. This condition is harmless to mother and baby, but can be very annoying. It lasts an average of 6 weeks and resolves spontaneously 1 to 2 weeks after delivery. The most severe itching normally lasts for no more than 1 week.
So.... how I was treating it with thick lotions - made it worse - nice - so now I have a special lotion that I rub on only 4 times a day and another over-the-counter lotion that I can rub on as much as possible. I went home and used the new stuff and honestly its the best I have felt in awhile - plus I don't feel like a greasy sweaty mess!
The itching continues - but I feel like I finally have the right tools to help me keep my sanity...
I have noticed I have forgot some important info about some friends - first - Anne and Dean found out they are having a GIRL! yeah!!!! So exciting - its been fun shopping with her and I can't WAIT to do some more shopping for her. Then our good friends Chad and Gina gave birth to Gavin - 9lbs 3 oz boy on Tuesday. I haven't seen him yet - but I will hopefully waddle my way over there this weekend (they live in our neighborhood).Well today is my due date - yeah! hmmm - wasn't I suppose to have a baby by now? I hoping to be very active this weekend and maybe kick start something!

Heidi Leigh Gonzales was born Saturday June 7th at 8:22 am. 7 lbs 13ozs 20.5 inches long.
The story goes...
Friday I was able to get off of work at 3pm - thanks to my cool boss - and I was home relaxing on the couch when I kind of felt like I peed my pants (Around 4:15pm) . I stood up and went to the bathroom and it wasn't pee but it wasn't a ton of water either - so I wasn't sure - I called the nurse and explained what happened and they said to hang out and see if anything else comes out or whatever and then come in to the hospital. So I called Chris and was like - um - honey I think my water broke - and he was like - shut up and I'm like - just get home. So I sort of kind of continued to leak - but nothing to really confirm it.
Around 6:00 pm we headed to the hospital and they checked me and they weren't sure either - so they made us walk - for 2 hours... Then they checked again and even did an ultrasound and basically I thought we were heading home - then the doc tried one more thing and was like - oh that was amniotic fluid - you have a slow leak - let's get this thing going...
So finally around 10pm - I was officially checked into the hospital, they put me on pitocin and I had to walk - I was still only 1cm and very thick as the nurse described it - so I had a long haul infront of me! I knew I had to get to 4cm to get the epi so that was my mission and wow - contractions suck - it took me until 4:30am to get to 4 cm - lets just say that was an experience! Then I got the epi and felt great!
At 6 am they checked and I was still only 5cm and about 70% efaced - so we talked to the parents and was like - its still going to be awhile - they think I'm making good progress - but slow. Well at 7:15 - I noticed the epi wasn't helping too much with the contractions - I had a lot of pressure - so I buzzed the nurse and was like - I feel a lot of pressure - so she checked me and I was 10 and ready to go! Chris was just getting out of the shower and was like - huh what? I'm like - don't worry about your belt and get your butt over here! hehe
So at 7:30 we started to push and in 15 minutes she was crowning - problem was - no doctor was there - so for a half n hour - I had to half push or blow until the damn doctor arrived - the doc came and was putting on her scrubs at 8:15 and she said push and I did and Heidi was here at 8:22!
So overall - it went really fast - I feel pretty good now - we are just adjusting to being at home and having to feed her every 2 hours!!
I'll post all the pictures I can. This will be my last journal and I will continue a journal on a blog spot page... details to come...We are so excited she is finally here!!!!!

My favorite names for you are: G.I.P.ette - we don't know and we aren't sharing - but honestly - there isn't much to share. Not kidding - Chris added a name to the list this morning...
The strangest name someone suggested is: Melba... nice - Chris did mark America as a joke in one of the books.
The most useful advice I've received is: Whatever my mom has told me so far!

At this month's prenatal visit, I learned that: As of right now - I'm 36 weeks 1cm dilated and 50% efaced... Just trucking along...

Introducing Heidi Leigh Gonzales
Heidi Leigh Gonzales was born Saturday June 7th at 8:22 am. 7 lbs 13ozs 20.5 inches long.
The story goes...
Friday I was able to get off of work at 3pm - thanks to my cool boss - and I was home relaxing on the couch when I kind of felt like I peed my pants (Around 4:15pm) . I stood up and went to the bathroom and it wasn't pee but it wasn't a ton of water either - so I wasn't sure - I called the nurse and explained what happened and they said to hang out and see if anything else comes out or whatever and then come in to the hospital. So I called Chris and was like - um - honey I think my water broke - and he was like - shut up and I'm like - just get home. So I sort of kind of continued to leak - but nothing to really confirm it.
Around 6:00 pm we headed to the hospital and they checked me and they weren't sure either - so they made us walk - for 2 hours... Then they checked again and even did an ultrasound and basically I thought we were heading home - then the doc tried one more thing and was like - oh that was amniotic fluid - you have a slow leak - let's get this thing going...
So finally around 10pm - I was officially checked into the hospital, they put me on pitocin and I had to walk - I was still only 1cm and very thick as the nurse described it - so I had a long haul infront of me! I knew I had to get to 4cm to get the epi so that was my mission and wow - contractions suck - it took me until 4:30am to get to 4 cm - lets just say that was an experience! Then I got the epi and felt great!
At 6 am they checked and I was still only 5cm and about 70% efaced - so we talked to the parents and was like - its still going to be awhile - they think I'm making good progress - but slow. Well at 7:15 - I noticed the epi wasn't helping too much with the contractions - I had a lot of pressure - so I buzzed the nurse and was like - I feel a lot of pressure - so she checked me and I was 10 and ready to go! Chris was just getting out of the shower and was like - huh what? I'm like - don't worry about your belt and get your butt over here! hehe
So at 7:30 we started to push and in 15 minutes she was crowning - problem was - no doctor was there - so for a half n hour - I had to half push or blow until the damn doctor arrived - the doc came and was putting on her scrubs at 8:15 and she said push and I did and Heidi was here at 8:22!
So overall - it went really fast - I feel pretty good now - we are just adjusting to being at home and having to feed her every 2 hours!!
I'll post all the pictures I can. This will be my last journal and I will continue a journal on a blog spot page... details to come...We are so excited she is finally here!!!!!

8 Months...
4/14/08 (32 Weeks)
Doctor Appointment, Car Seat, Diaper Genies, and Apple Jacks!
Hello Everyone!
We just had another doctor's appointment - they are so short and sweet. Just weight, blood pressure, urine, heart beat, measure and tummy check. All is good. She is hanging out low and wide! Like the heart rate was down by my belly button. My doctor says all is good - the count down begins!!! I have just have one more quick, two week, regular appointment and then they begin every week! CRAZY!
Chris put in the car seat yesterday. It was really easy with our new car. Chris expected it to be harder - but it wasn't. We put it in for Jeremy and Michelle who are coming this weekend and bringing their little one, Ava. Funny story - so Chris and I brought out the whole stroller and car seat unit thingy to make sure we knew how it all works - (its one of those Chico Travel systems where everything snaps together) anyways, I went to pull out my car and Chris was holding the base, next thing we know, the stroller starts to roll down our driveway! Nice!! So Chris and I go running after it - of course our neighbors are out and I'm laughing going - parents of the year!!! - we reassured our neighbors - no kid yet. After that we discovered the brakes on the wheels! hehe
So I have been debating a very important decision - Diaper Genie Vs. Diaper Champ. I naturally registered for the Diaper Genie since that is just what I know of, well Christina, (sister-in-law) just got a new diaper pail system and she got the Diaper Champ - this one does not need those expensive refills and it looks WAY easier to use - you drop it in and flip it. That's it. Its the same price as the Diaper Genie too. So I turned to the internet and reviews are about the same - some people love the Diaper Champ, some don't and same with the Genie. So then I turned to my Baby Bargins book - which is a book that basically is like the consumer reports, but they ONLY do baby items and it helps you save money. And wouldn't you know it - it ranks the Diaper Champ OVER the Diaper Genie. The Cons it has listed are that it may not lock out the smell as much, but if you empty if every 5 days - it seems to be okay, plus there are scented trash bags now and the other complaint is that a toddle figured out how to put toys in there. Kind of funny. So I have switched to the Diaper Champ on my registry - I'm thinking it will be good. But if anyone has feedback on either one - I will greatly appreciate it. Nothing has been purchased yet!Oh - quick note about Apple Jacks - I can't get enough of them - I really haven't had a lot of cravings - but for some reason Apple Jacks are just plain awesome. You should try some - the trick is you have to let them sit in the milk for a little while - they are better soggy! hehe
Class #3
Last night was our third class. We discussed our birth plans and anything and everything that may happen in the delivery room - mainly what tools they may use. It was very educational last night. Only 3 more classes to go! Next week is the hospital tour!
THANK YOU!!! First to Anne, Christina and Val for throwing me a fantastic shower this weekend! It was wonderful - they even had angel food cake cupcakes with chocolate frosting and coconut - my FAVORITE!
Thank you to EVERYONE who came to the shower - SO many people had to travel some distance to come in and I REALLY appreciate it! It was great to see everyone and all the pregnant ladies - I there were 8 or so there! ha! Don't drink the water we're drinking!
Chris and I (& GIPette) appreciate all the presents we received, it helps SOOOOOOOO much with getting ready for the baby - I can't express how much we appreciate it! Plus everyone brought us their favorite book to add to our library and that was really fun. I can't wait to look more closely at them.
Now I get to go through everything, wash clothes, put things away and get ready! The days are counting down!
It was great to have a baby in the house with little Ava visiting from Texas with Jeremy and Michelle. The boys, aka Taco & Brewski, did fantastic with her. It was nice to test out some of our new gifts too - the car seat is great, our portable high chair and the new play gym we got at the shower - all successful with Ava! Michelle is also determined to make this a girlie girl and gave us the cutest, craziest, Husker outfit ever (handmade with love) It just may be our Christmas card outfit... Just contact her for more outfits - she is crafty!
Well that is all for now - I'm just really thankful for everything this weekend - it really takes some big stresses off of my chest - I so thankful for our great friends and family!THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!!
Class #4
Class #4 - done! We just took the tour of the hospital - luckily - we already know about where everything is since Christina delivered there with Blake. It was nice to get to know everything in the room and know what to expect for the most part. Only 2 classes to go!!!!

Doc Appt and Class #5
I posted a pick of the belly - hello! I have popped! hehe
We had our last two week appointment at the doctor yesterday - I'm just trucking along - the staff thinks I'm going to go early at the end of May and I like that!!! I hope they are right! I'm measuring 35, which is right on track. The doctor helped point out some "parts" that I have been feeling. Her head is down, which its basically been the entire time. Her butt is what I'm feeling the most up at the top of my belly on the right side - then on the left is where her little feet and knees and things keep poking out. She is in great position and ready!!!
Our next appointment is May 12th and this is when they begin to check to see if I am progressing towards labor or whatever. I'm not looking forward to the exam - but it will be great to know!!! Then after that I go every week to the doctor until she arrives!
We had our class #5 - it was bascially all about breast feeding - the best class so far - very informative. Luckily, I have been already drilling my friends and family - like Christina and Michelle on what it all involves, but the class helped clarify things. We only have one class left - they go over things like how to bathe the kiddo, how to change diapers and then a review of everything we have learned.
Basically by my calculations - I have less than 6 weeks and more than 2 weeks - which is CRAZY!!!
This week - we are going to finish packing the hospital bag and finalize getting everything else we need - so the washing can begin.Oh and today is our 2 year wedding anniversary! yeah! (together working on year 7) 
Checking In!
Everything is trucking along - as it has always been! Things are sinking in a little more as friends and family are starting to pop out their kids. Curtis and Maria had their little girl and then my cousin Ryan and Amy had their little boy (I posted pictures). Christina is due any day and I actually have a bet that she will go into labor today - Chris says Thursday and some other people say this weekend - let's see who is right!
Let's see - we got our carpets and couch steam cleaned - they look sooo good! It's nice that our couch doesn't smell like a foot anymore! Now if we can just keep them clean - no more shoes - no more house parties! hehe
My office had a mini-shower for me last friday - which was really nice - we had cake and they gave me Visa giftcards - which was AWESOME! It was seriously the perfect gift! Chris and I went shopping Saturday for everything else we are missing - it was fun! It was great to use all the gift cards and discount coupons and whatever else we had to get the remaining items. My house looks like Babies R Us right now!
Tonight is our last class - we are learning the care portion - like changing a diaper, cord care, what do in this situation - then its a review of everything and we are done!!!! YEAH! Overall I would suggest taking the classes - but keep in mind - there is a risk of annoying classmates and some portions of the class that are just retarded.
So now I'm just finishing putting things away and washing items. Saturday we have our baptism class with the church - I have no idea what that is about - those Catholics and their classes. Monday we have our first doctor's appointment where they check if I'm progressing - I hope! We are in the home stretch!!!!
Getting things done...
So each night we have been getting items done - like last night, we finished washing and gathering everything for the hospital bag, we did a huge load of baby items - those little socks just get stuck everywhere - and then we took pictures of the boys for the baby room. I think the pictures turned out nice - they are both matted with colors and in white frames - the room seems complete with the pictures of the big brothers.
We are still waiting for Christina to go - Chris swears its today - I hope so - I would like to get out of work for a little while! ha! All I know is I'm moving towards that too - each night and day are filled with more twinges and aches and what was that feeling. I'm curious for my monday doctor's appointment to see if any of these feelings are moving towards anything...
I have reached the miss crabby portion of the pregnancy - I think its just the lack of sleep, the uncomfortable-ness of it all and most of all - if I'm hot or warm - its not cool. At least I'm aware of it and I'm really honestly trying my hardest not to be crabby - poor Chris. So if you run into me and I'm not super perky - I'm sorry! Its weird to see my belly move so dramatically all the time - a little distracting too - especially at 4 in the morning! We'll let's hope my next entry is about Christina and Matt's baby!!!

Eighth Month
My pregnancy classes are: Well - the classes are good - our teacher is sort of a hippie lady - we like the information we are receiving - but could do without some of our classmates. Luckily, we aren't the only ones annoyed with some people - so at least we can be snickering in the back together and trying to make the most of it. Sounds mean - but its just one couple driving us nuts, like they are type that have a question every single time, when we are passing things through out the room - she is like picking her nose and then touching things or like eating sun flower seeds and touching things - he is the guy who wears tight shirts that shouldn't and thinks he is funny - but isn't - can you picture them???
In the classes, I've learned how to: Classes I have mainly learned terminology and just helps be prepared what "could" happen. they really have helped mostly for getting you mentally prepared.
What I've bought for you so far: Um - I can't even list everything... Let's just say a lot...
What other people have bought for you: Um - once again - can't even begin to list everything - we are SOOOOOO Thankful for EVERYTHING that people have purchased for us - it really REALLY helps!!!
The strangest food craving I've had during this pregnancy is: Right now its Apple Jacks and Root Beer - yummy!!!
The strangest piece of advice I've gotten since this pregnancy started is: I really only take advice from my friends and so far they are pretty normal...

7 Months...
3/16/08 (28 Weeks)
St Patty's Day!!! (Well Saturday)
Hello all! So Chris and I decided to participate and go downtown to the Omaha Parade. It was a ton of fun - but a very long day - especially when you are the only one NOT drinking!
We arrived at Old Chicago ay 9am - yes - 9am on a Saturday and don't worry - even though they don't technically open until 11 - they were more than willing to serve us. The parade was fine, COLD, but fun. My favorite part was a group of 30 storm troopers, many of them in Kilts - you have to love it!
After the parade and a few stops like the Dubliner, OConnors, Barry Os and Barretts - I think I finally made it home at 9pm. It was great to be out and about, but man - I'm glad that was only for a special occasion!
Everything is still going great with me - I'm growing by the second. The hips are about the same, my water splashing around is helping. My next doc appointment is this Tuesday and on Wednesday is CPR class.
According to my count down, its less than 12 weeks to my due date and something like 82 days! YIKES!!!

I’m overally obsessed with Ming’s Chinese food – It’s my favorite restaurant. I honestly could eat it every day, but my favorite food item is Aggie Roll from Godai (formally Goro’s) Sushi in San Antonio .
I can get very excited about things and sometimes if I can control everything, I have anxiety attacks. For example – when we got Taco – thank god my husband understands!
My favorite smell is the rain or even right before it rains.
I’m so thankful for my husband. We can be in a group and have a blast, but we have the most fun at home together. We can be entertained by playing cards or just sitting hanging with the dogs.
I’m the absolute worst person at keeping contact with people. I really am a bad friend and thank god my friends are so understanding!
I hate feet.
I’m very competitive at anything I do and love to beat Val – like when I kicked her ass making my bed. Hehe
I do Sudoku every night and play my Nintendo DS every night too. Brain Age makes me smart – ha!
I love my job. Who else gets paid to watch TV, chase sales and do random marketing projects – my job is always changing and I love that.
I’m feeling all emotions for this new baby to come from excited to scared out of my mind. Thank god I have great family and friends around me to help.

Birthday, Doctor and Contractions!
I'm just truckin' along - everything is going great.
Friday was my birthday - I turned 28 on the 28th - it was my golden birthday and thank you to all my friends and family who helped me celebrate - or really celebrated for me! We had a little house party complete with beer, root beer, cherry limeades, rockband, maybe some beer die in there - oh and a sheet cake - thanks to my husband. I don't think I have ever seen a cake so big - I knew there was a problem when he said he couldn't fit it in the fridge. And yes - he is still eating it and he is in heaven.
After going to bed in the wee hours of the night only getting about 4 hours of sleep, I got up to help Anne paint faces for a charity - which was fun. I feel bad for the first few kids - I was a bit rusty! but after a little while, I got the hang of it again. My favorite were the kids I called "leaners" - as I painted their face they would lean away - sometimes I didn't know what I painted on their face - but hey it was for charity!
Then we went to the Saathoff's baby shower which was fun - I think I finally got home at 4:30 and Chris shoved some pizza at me and I was out asleep on the couch! I didn't wake up until 9 to go shower and crawl right back in bed! Wow I was tired!
Today we had a doctor's appointment - another short one - weight, blood pressure, tummy check, heart beat and urine - which Chris made fun of me because I filled up the whole thing and he called me a water buffalo or something. Oops - oh well - kind of embarrassing. I can't believe after all the sweets from Easter and my birthday I did not gain too much weight - its a miracle! Really! I'm measuring 32 weeks which my doc says is right on target - so it looks like I'm doing great!
So Christina asked me last night if I have experienced any contractions yet - but how she described them - I'm like - no I don't think so - but at dinner - I kept getting like menstrual cramps or real tight in my very lower belly - almost under the belly and they would come and go. They way Christina would get them would her whole belly would get tight where for me it really wasn't my belly at all. But I also carry really low - really low - so I asked the doc and she said those are practice contractions or braxton hix or whatever they are called. They aren't painful or anything - just kind of achy and crampy. But now I'm happy because I know what they feel like - so I can pay attention more!Tonight or tomorrow I'll post pics from the party and maybe my belly - its getting BIG!
Class #1
Last night, Chris and I had our first of 6 classes for child birth. First we need to rewind to dinner, Chris and I had mis-communication - mainly on my part on who was watching the burgers cook in the pan and well let's just just a smoke filled room later - dinner was done. So we have to rush off to class - both stinking of burnt burgers.
We get there and thank god we don't really have a "hippie" lady - but she does come in close second. We knew it was going to be a long night when she went around the room asking what we are having, our due date and a discomfort - and like for us - she is like - oh a girl - due June 6th - I'm going to draw a sun because it will be a bright sunny day when she is born - then the next people go - I'm going to draw a bicycle for the nice sunny days of riding your bikes together or whatever.
The class was good - went through terms and kind of what to expect - which is what I want - we now know what exactly, dilation, efacing and station mean. At the end of the class we did breathing exercises - sorry I have never been into soft music and breathing - plus every time I breathed in - I smelled burnt burgers. So then it was our challenge to try to not giggle. Plus GIPette was kicking and moving like a mad woman - so she didn't want to be quiet either!I'm glad we are doing the classes - I think overall it will be very educational for us! One class down - 5 to go...
Cleaning Machine & Class #2
So this weekend was a good weekend - Friday we hung out with Chad and Gina - who are also preggers due 2 days before me. It was nice to hang out. Saturday we went to Cirque Du Soleil with my mom and Darrell - which was a lot of fun. I think because of the music GIPette was kicking and moving the entire time - a little distracting - but overall good!
Then for some reason I woke up Sunday and was in the cleaning mood - which as Chris would say - is rare. I never have been one for cleaning. I cleaned everything - from baseboards to windows - it felt good. I think I'm just ready to get the house ready. We're steam cleaning the carpet and couch in the next few weeks. Chris was all freaked out because he thought this was the official nesting stage - but that doesn't happen until about 12 hours right before you give birth - at least according to our classes. I guess you get this burst of energy and want to do something - my mom said she was on her hands and knees scrubbing on the floor right before she gave birth to me. So since I cleaned the house entirely now - Chris is wondering what I'm going to do for my burst of energy - I'll want to plant landscaping or something?
Last night was class #2 - we reviewed what we talked about in class number one - then it was the dreaded video - which honestly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be - I mean I don't want to watch it again - but it wasn't the worst thing I have ever seen. We all squirmed a little at places and I just kept saying ouch.
I think the classes, if anything, will just help get us in the mind set, okay - this is what to expect for the hospital and afterwards. I'm glad were taking them - it allows me to focus a little more. It really does help with terminology, where to go in the hospital, what to do when this happens, this could happen etc. I would recommend them - but with a warning - you're going to some stuff that is retarded but I think I have gotten a back massage every class from Chris - bonus!
Found a Doctor
Today Chris and I met with our future pediatrician - it went well. Its the same doctor as Matt and Christina, which makes it easy! He went through his practice and we were impressed. It looks like he comes to the hospital after the baby is born and it goes from there! We can mark that off our list...
St Patty's Day!!! (Well Saturday)
Hello all! So Chris and I decided to participate and go downtown to the Omaha Parade. It was a ton of fun - but a very long day - especially when you are the only one NOT drinking!
We arrived at Old Chicago ay 9am - yes - 9am on a Saturday and don't worry - even though they don't technically open until 11 - they were more than willing to serve us. The parade was fine, COLD, but fun. My favorite part was a group of 30 storm troopers, many of them in Kilts - you have to love it!
After the parade and a few stops like the Dubliner, OConnors, Barry Os and Barretts - I think I finally made it home at 9pm. It was great to be out and about, but man - I'm glad that was only for a special occasion!
Everything is still going great with me - I'm growing by the second. The hips are about the same, my water splashing around is helping. My next doc appointment is this Tuesday and on Wednesday is CPR class.
According to my count down, its less than 12 weeks to my due date and something like 82 days! YIKES!!!
3/20/08 (28 Weeks)
Monday we had another doctor's appointment - I like the quick little appointments - just a measure and a heartbeat and all is good. I officially got my results from the diabetes test and I wasn't even close to having it - man - I could of had cake and ice cream right before the test and would have been fine! hehe
Then last night Chris and I participated in the 3 hour CPR class. I actually was happy we did it. I had CPR training in the past, but it was a good refresher and they have simplified it. Chris has never taken CPR and he was being a very good student. Plus they taught us about choking too. I didn't learn that before. Now if anyone chokes or anything or needs CPR - Chris and I can come to the rescue! Oh, one thing about being in a CPR class with a bunch of preggo ladies - the lady in front of me ripped one while she was giving CPR to her doll - poor lady - but Chris and I were fighting back tears.
Christina, my sister-in-law, went to the hospital yesterday morning at like 4 am with severe pain and it turns out she has kidney stones!!! She is also pregnant and about 3 weeks ahead of me - so they couldn't do all the tests and treatments they normally do for kidney stones. She is still in the hospital, but hopefully being released today. I spoke with her this morning and she just said she was in a ton of pain and she was feeling better. The baby is fine too. I'm hoping she is able to go home today and just sleep and recover - but scary!!!Nothing else to report here. I have a 4 day weekend coming up - my last vacation before the baby comes! Everyone have a great weekend!

I’m overally obsessed with Ming’s Chinese food – It’s my favorite restaurant. I honestly could eat it every day, but my favorite food item is Aggie Roll from Godai (formally Goro’s) Sushi in San Antonio .
I can get very excited about things and sometimes if I can control everything, I have anxiety attacks. For example – when we got Taco – thank god my husband understands!
My favorite smell is the rain or even right before it rains.
I’m so thankful for my husband. We can be in a group and have a blast, but we have the most fun at home together. We can be entertained by playing cards or just sitting hanging with the dogs.
I’m the absolute worst person at keeping contact with people. I really am a bad friend and thank god my friends are so understanding!
I hate feet.
I’m very competitive at anything I do and love to beat Val – like when I kicked her ass making my bed. Hehe
I do Sudoku every night and play my Nintendo DS every night too. Brain Age makes me smart – ha!
I love my job. Who else gets paid to watch TV, chase sales and do random marketing projects – my job is always changing and I love that.
I’m feeling all emotions for this new baby to come from excited to scared out of my mind. Thank god I have great family and friends around me to help.

Birthday, Doctor and Contractions!
I'm just truckin' along - everything is going great.
Friday was my birthday - I turned 28 on the 28th - it was my golden birthday and thank you to all my friends and family who helped me celebrate - or really celebrated for me! We had a little house party complete with beer, root beer, cherry limeades, rockband, maybe some beer die in there - oh and a sheet cake - thanks to my husband. I don't think I have ever seen a cake so big - I knew there was a problem when he said he couldn't fit it in the fridge. And yes - he is still eating it and he is in heaven.
After going to bed in the wee hours of the night only getting about 4 hours of sleep, I got up to help Anne paint faces for a charity - which was fun. I feel bad for the first few kids - I was a bit rusty! but after a little while, I got the hang of it again. My favorite were the kids I called "leaners" - as I painted their face they would lean away - sometimes I didn't know what I painted on their face - but hey it was for charity!
Then we went to the Saathoff's baby shower which was fun - I think I finally got home at 4:30 and Chris shoved some pizza at me and I was out asleep on the couch! I didn't wake up until 9 to go shower and crawl right back in bed! Wow I was tired!
Today we had a doctor's appointment - another short one - weight, blood pressure, tummy check, heart beat and urine - which Chris made fun of me because I filled up the whole thing and he called me a water buffalo or something. Oops - oh well - kind of embarrassing. I can't believe after all the sweets from Easter and my birthday I did not gain too much weight - its a miracle! Really! I'm measuring 32 weeks which my doc says is right on target - so it looks like I'm doing great!
So Christina asked me last night if I have experienced any contractions yet - but how she described them - I'm like - no I don't think so - but at dinner - I kept getting like menstrual cramps or real tight in my very lower belly - almost under the belly and they would come and go. Class #1

So I'm 31 weeks - in my 32nd week - anywhere from 5 to 8 weeks left - I think - that is just crazy to me. This week we're meeting the Pediatrician and besides that - just slowly putting the hospital bag together...Until next time...

I've started thinking about the nursery: Well the nursery is basically done - I just need to add wall decorations - which is the story of my entire house!
I've been dreaming about you: These vivid dreams are crazy - nothing too much about the baby - but just weird - I won't even begin to tell you any. But usually they involve robots, friends and like reality tv challenges...
I used to love food! Now I avoid: I love my stinky cheese - basically all soft cheese like blue cheese - lately its been hot dogs - not that I really like them or ate them but when you can't have something - its all you think about!
I never thought pregnancy would make me: Actually be okay with pink crap.
I can't wait to: Get this pregnancy over! The not sleeping at night and the whole hips thing - its made me count down the days even more!!!
My prenatal visit this month taught me: I'm still trucking along like I should - they measured the belly thingy and I'm right on schedule - maybe a week a head - I hope I hope!

6 Months...
2/17/08 (24 Weeks)
Checking In
Sorry it's been awhile! This month always goes fast! Everything is still going great. I do have some growing and stretching pains in my belly - but I can get through them!
This month has consisted of being sick - damn flu, work work work, Matt and Christina moving into a nice new big house and Chris traveling for work. That really sums it up!
The baby room is really starting to take shape now! We have the crib, the toy shelf, the chair and the changing table! Oh and we have the dresser in the closet too! Now I feel like we have all the major items and we can focus on the fun decorating items! (Anne needs to step in and tell me what to do!)
My next doc appointment is the 4th and I get to drink the orange stuff to check for the gestational diabetes - fun fun! Then after that, I start going to the doc every 2 weeks! I think she will be here before we know it!
We are coming closer on names, well not really. But I'm looking through books and we do have a "short" list that I'm guessing it will be one of those. Sorry no clues.
Really nothing much to report - I'm uploading a bunch of pictures - I swear - I'm really doing it! Until next time!
Hip Pain...
Over the last week I have been having intense hip pain - only in my right hip - it could happen anytime during the day, but it would happen more frequently at night. Each time it would last anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes - if not longer. So just in case, I called the doc and she told me basically - tough - ha!
No its the pressure of the baby on my pelvic - she of course had some fancy name - I don't remember it - but its the pain from my hips and pelvic getting wider - nice. She told me to take tylenol and hopefully it will pass - aka - there isn't much we can do.
So last night - I decided to make myself a pillow cocoon - I took 4 king size pillows and about 4 or 5 regular pillows and put them everywhere and you know what - I only woke up twice with hip pain and it didn't last more than a minute - so I think it worked! Let's hope it goes away all together - but like Michelle said - I think my nice easy baby moon of a pregnancy is coming to an end - here comes the aches and pains! 
Me Gots My Hairs Cuts...
I FINALLY got all my hair cut! I went to Blair at Creative Hair Design - old friend from elementary on up - her parents still live in the same neighborhood as my mom - ANYWAYS - I told her - I wanted to chop it but try not to be a "mom" hair cut - and I LOVE IT!!! It feel so much better. Chris loves it too! hehe
Das Hip...
So my hip issues have gotten worse - I had a really traumatic painful night Sunday night - I won't go into the details – Let’s just put it this way, I have never vomited from pain before. I thought I was pretty tolerable to pain, but this wiped me out. It was just overall scary and I really hope it doesn’t happen again!
My doctor has now put me in some physical therapy for it. It turns out all my ligaments around my right hip flexor are hard as a rock - so when I'm feeling the pain - they are trying to stretch. The therapist was able to do some stretches and really push and pull on my hip. It already feels better. So now I'm supposed to do hourly stretches and take Tylenol especially at night. Then if I’m going to be on my feet or walking around a bunch, I have a very fashionable belt that I’m suppose to wear. I feel like a line backer in it – but it supports my belly and takes the pressure of my hips and my back. My back doesn’t hurt, but the therapist was worried if I start to compensate for the pain in the hips and walk different, it will get my back to hurt.
I have adjusted my pillow mountain on the bed to now include couch cushions. It worked last night, so I feel like I’m sleeping up right on the couch – but I’m still in bed. Thank god we have a king size bed! So I really hope the ole hip gets better and I can manage it myself. Today is actually going great for a hip day – so everyone keep their fingers crossed!
In better news, my mom and Darrell got a very cute new addition to their family – Macey the 10 week old Shih-tzu / Bicon mix. She is adorable. The best part is she is liter trained – yes - I did not know dog’s can use dog liter. She is already use to being in a pin – so at night she sleeps all the way through and so far – knock on wood – has been the easiest puppy I have ever heard of. I’m so happy they got a puppy – I posted a picture of her – she is adorable!So my doctor’s appointment is Monday, I officially start the 3rd trimester in two weeks and besides the whole hip crap – I still feel good. Another Doctor's Appointment Down...
Hello Everyone! I just had my last month doctor's appointment, now I move to every two weeks and eventually every week when I get closer.
Her heartbeat sounds great, my weight is A.O.K and everything else is looking good. I have learned how to tolerate my hip pain or at least all the things I can do to help pass the pain. I'm going to slowly try to get back into water aerobics to see if I can do it - everything else so far just makes the pain worse - so I really hope the water aerobics work!
I took the diabetes test today, no news is good news - so let's all keep our fingers crossed. The drink wasn't too bad - it smelled and first tasted like Minute Maid Orange Pop - but then the after taste was nasty - then you can't drink, eat or even chew gum until after they draw your blood so I kept burping and it tasted like bad skittles. but it wasn't that bad - i'm not use to having that much sugar in my system and it made me feel a little yuck. Less than 14 weeks until my due date - that is CRAZY! My best guess is I will go around May 24th - 26th - hehe - like I can control it!

Buying maternity clothes was: Annoying - I don't like buying clothes - at all - so to spend money on temp clothes - I'm like - boogers!
The biggest change in my body has been: Expanding in all areas! hahahaha - I guess of course my belly!
At this month's prenatal visit I learned that: The next test is where I get to drink the orange stuff and see if I have that diabetes thingy.
My hopes: Healthy baby and Chris and I actually decide on a name! hahaha

5 Months...

We have bedding!!!
We have been looking for awhile for bedding that both Chris and I liked. I swear everything I liked online, I would see in person and I would hate and everything I would see online that I hated, I would love in person - which is the case with the bedding we bought!
The online pictures make it kind of look like a clown threw up - but its very cute in person. Plus you have to consider we have brown walls and lots of white furniture to off set it.I love it and so does Chris - which is a miracle!

Clothes
My mom surprised me with some of my old baby clothes from when I was a wee one - the few items ranged from a knitted sweater from my grandma to a kermit the frog swimsuit! She even still had my baptism dress!
My favorite is this corduroy jumper with a little cow on it - I'll take a picture of it soon. It was my favorite outfit in pictures growing up and I'm so happy she saved it! I should find a picture of me in it...hmmmmThings are still going great. I'm just truckin along. Until next time...

Funny Story
So - I think I have proven to myself - I may a little case of the "preggo" brain - I was cleaning my kitchen and putting things away and I put the toaster in the fridge. I continued cleaning and sat down and thought - hmmm - something didn't feel right - so sure enough I opened the fridge and there was the toaster...
Nice.

Daddy Felt a Kick!
Last night she was just a dancing away in my belly - I think she liked my skillet burgers (its a weight watchers recipe and they rock!) and the root beer I was drinking! hehe - so he placed his hands on my lower part of my belly and he felt the little kicks that I have been feeling on the inside forever!
This week alone I have felt stronger and stronger kicks and movement - I can't ignore them anymore. Sometimes it can be a bit much and it kind of turns my stomach. But I found if I just dance along with her - I'm fine J/K.This weekend we will be ordering our changing table - it takes 6 to 8 weeks to deliver - I figure we better get on it. Maybe I'll actually upload some pictures - sorry I'm so bad about it!!!
Fifth Month
The first time I felt you kick: About 2 weeks ago - it felt like concentrated gas.
The strangest food craving I've had is: Now its steak phillies and meat in general - go figure.
This month's prenatal visit taught me that: Well it showed me you are a girl - that was a surprise!
My hopes: Healthy baby!
We have bedding!!!
We have been looking for awhile for bedding that both Chris and I liked. I swear everything I liked online, I would see in person and I would hate and everything I would see online that I hated, I would love in person - which is the case with the bedding we bought!
