Random and Star Student

Wanna see some crusty kids playing with a laundry basket?

Yep.

We all finally did shower - Chris and I had a work function/date night Friday night. We had our babysitter which the kids love and maybe we were moving a little slow Saturday morning. But we finally did get ready and headed off to church and the church festival. It was fun - a little crazy - that's why I have all of one picture. But fun.

It's still a winter wonderland. Yes, that is tons of snow you see out my windows. I don't know how many inches we have. I think we have more than the East side for once. The do a great job of clearing the snow but the potholes! Chris has already had to get a new tire from hitting a pot hole and East Cleveland roads are so bad (no surprise) they are down to the brick in most spots!

I was very busy on Sunday running around and didn't get any pictures taken. I was going to take some pictures tonight but...

Not happy. So I threw some ham at her and put her in the bath - which she wasn't happy either...

But... she started to come around :)

And she went to bed a clean happy baby.

Heidi is the star student this week at school. Which means - a poster of pictures she chooses, bringing her favorite book and toys to school and some other fun activities. I forgot how long it takes to do a photo collage. It took forever on Sunday! Seriously! But Heidi was super proud and loves it - so worth it. I can tell Heidi is very happy to be the star student!

A Weekend At Home

We had a sick Lucy this weekend. Fever came on Thursday and stayed until Sunday morning. She has a nasty cough and is agitated and clingy. The doctor said besides some Motrin and Tylenol - we have to wait it out. Its just a bug.  Luckily she did sleep a lot on Saturday but when she wasn't sleeping - she wanted to be held. Which can be hard when you have to do things like...go to the bathroom.

Since we weren't going anywhere - Heidi took it upon herself to create a world of animals and whatever through our house. I think it might have to do with us buying the new Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 movie. Which if you haven't seen it - love it. We watched it - maybe 10 - 12 times and still love it.

At one point in Heidi's magical land - she was a robot...I think...

It's also still Winter Wonderland here. On Sunday it was nice enough to play outside with out freezing your butt off in 10 minutes.

Heidi found this nice...um... ice sculpture next to our house... She named it Rudolph.

Finally Sunday afternoon Lucy was getting closer to her old self. Wanted to eat lunch with Heidi.

Chris was also happy because the girls actually wanted to play with his chalk table he made a while ago. Sure... right when I want it moved downstairs - the girls start playing with it!

Heidi was too shy to show her picture she drew...

It was a nice mellow weekend and glad Lucy is getting over her cold!

On a more personal note, we lost my grandma this weekend. She fell ill three weeks ago and was finally able to let go on Sunday. She will be missed and we are just happy that she is in a better place and no longer in pain. Its time to remember the good times and the wonderful grandma she was. Miss you Grandma Meyer.
