Week 5 of School - Week 6 of Lock Down

We survived another week! It was the first week of school that they didn't pre plan for, meaning, the other four weeks of work had some preplanning and we were given materials before the lockdown. This last week, the teacher assigned work based on what they knew we could do at home. No printing (thank you!), no special books or anything we would have to get. Everything was online or things they knew we had.

My work is picking up as well. Our business of live streaming is doing very well right now and projects are being launched. It is going to continue to be a challenge to balance work and distance learning, but I will try my best. The rumor is we only have four more weeks left of school. We can do this!

I try to reach out to people as much as possible and get them on video, whether they want to or not. I am always entertained of people not being able to frame the video - hehe.

Lucy had 7 Zoom calls this last week and by the 3rd day, wanted to get fancy.

So...Amazon can be dangerous, especially after some adult beverages are consumed... We were surprised to get this shipment, but I'm not angry...they are delicious...

Remy and Lucy - two puppies.

Heidi has really gotten into baking and cooking. This was her first attempt at cookie dough balls or something. She has made eggs, Mac n Cheese and more. She even made us brinner one night. I could get used to Heidi cooking instead of me!

It was Darrell's big 75th birthday. We had a video call and had a good time chatting. I sent him a lovely pillow of Babs that I thought was awesome!

Lucy on one of her many Zoom calls.

We got lucky on Friday and Saturday - there was beautiful weather. So nice out. We took lots of walks, played outside and enjoyed ourselves for sure.

Chris taking one for the team and getting to go food. Some places do it better than others. I give this place a "D". They had a bunch of people getting just alcohol and then people trying to get food too. It ended up being fine, but always a little stressful.

Lucy lost her front tooth finally! It was an assist from Heidi again - not on purpose, but while running around the yard - an accidental forearm to the mouth, knocked it right out! Now her other one looks ready to go soon! We could have a toothless child here!

Chris randomly picked up this outdoor game - it has ax throwing on one side with velcro and sticky darts on the other. I have to admit it is pretty cool!

We did some social distancing driveway hangout. We tried our best everyone kept their distances. The kids have to be reminded often, but overall, it was great. We joked that families have to wear the same color shirts, so people driving by know who can be by each other or not! I gave the neighbors my lice analogy - either you have lice and you don't want to give it to someone or they have lice and you don't want to get it. Its a good mental picture to keep when thinking about being around people!

Jason wanted to check out Chris' new tires on the Jeep and see how much the tread can hold things...

And Remy has been sleeping in Heidi's room and if for some reason he stays downstairs with me longer or something, he like panic runs to her door to make sure he sleeps with her. Its pretty cute! I don't mind not sleeping with Remy as we often would kick each other for space!
