You have to love the selfies I receive from Lucy...
Volleyball was back at it with a two day tournament. Chris went the first day and I went the second. Heidi is doing really well. She truly is - I swear I'm not just saying that because of being a proud parent. She has more aces and more saves than anyone. She plays her positions correctly and has had some great hits... BUT I have to be honest, her team just kind of stinks. They have a couple of kids with really bad attitudes that contribute to 75% of the lost points. These girls would not survive in our household with those eye rolls and mouthing off and I have met the parents... I know where they get it from... anyways... It has been really frustrating seeing some of the teammates make mistakes after mistakes or honestly NOT try. They don't go after the ball, they half-ass a hit and Heidi gives 100%. There are 4 people on the team including Heidi that are wonderful and give effort but with a team of 10, you need more than that. Heidi is still learning and improving and it is a good overall lesson. We try to find the positives in the situation and she still enjoys playing. I'm hoping the coach can figure out something to turn their team around, but I feel for him! Heidi says she is just going to learn as much as she can and prepare for a better try out next year to make a better team. Go Heidi go!
I hung out with Lucy on Saturday while Chris and Heidi were at volleyball and Lucy wanted me to take pictures of her in the bath to prove to daddy that she cleaned herself. Ha.
Legos and puzzles...
24 days until we meet Rizzo!
