Spring Concert, May Crowning, Awards and Random...

You can tell the school year is winding down. We have a bunch of little events as we end. In no particular order, We decided to have a nice dinner Saturday night and try someplace new. It was delicious. We celebrated Heidi getting another scholarship toward high school!

Heidi won 4th place in an art contest against 1600 other NE Ohio students. We went to the award ceremony to get her certificate, but we left soon after. Long story short and neutral, the place giving away the awards decided to use this ceremony as their extreme and intense political platform. I don't need to hear a 30-minute speech about nothing to do about the ceremony just agendas when we were there to see art, hear the kid's poems, etc. Luckily Heidi went towards the beginning and then we all did the, take turns to the bathroom and did not return. We were laughing pretty hard in the car and we were not the only families who were bailing as quickly as they could.

This week was Lucy's final music concert for school. She was so proud to be up there singing and she will use any excuse to wear her favorite blue dress again!

Heidi had May crowning with her little 2md grade buddies. It is tradition for the 8th graders to escort the 2nd graders. It was crazy to see how much older everyone looks.

They took an 8th grade graduation picture at the end and it was like herding cats!

We took advantage of the nice weather and went on a walk... I think the dogs need to build up their stamina again. Little Rizzo was begging Lucy to carry him and would rest his head on her shoulder.

Round 2 of the garden features to help with wind and privacy - we tore out the trees and we need something to help with the wind tunnel over there. They should be done this week!

Rizzo and Lucy are quite the pair.

This upcoming weekend is our large Memorial Day party and we have started to clean. Luckily we already had to clean a bit for our carpet and duct cleaning. Now it is trying to do the things we skip. There may or not be some 8th-grade boys coming to the party and Heidi wants our house the best it can be. She was determined to dust the entryway window and get all the dead bugs down. Her contraption worked! Lucy was even cleaning!

This week will be busy and then we have to prep for our party! The countdown continues to the end of school, June 3rd!
