It is hard to see what Lucy is swimming! It has been a long road for Lucy to swim. It might not seem like much, but she is able to use a kickboard and go the length of a lane and then she pushes off and swims to the instructor about halfway and turns around and swims back. She has progressed so much this summer and we are proud of her!
We had our first scrimmage. It wasn't an official game, but a local high school invites schools to come and scrimmage to help give girls game practice, help the coaches figure out the line-up, etc etc. I am impressed with Heidi's freshman team! I'm looking forward to when the games actually start this week!
We had Lucy's birthday party! Or I would call it a small gathering. Lucy went from wanting to have a large party, to just inviting two friends to an event. I did not mind. Even having just 3 of them, they WORE ME OUT! At the height of their playing, Heidi texted me and goes... I hate kids... hahaha. They all had fun. For crafts, we made blankets and knot pillows, which was mainly Heidi and I finishing them off, but fun just the same. Then we ate at Olive Garden as requested by Lucy. Finally off to see Frozen off-broadway. It was a REALLY great show. They made some great changes and everything. The girls loved it but Lucy was very much into it. She wants to go back.
Finish with a random selfie...
And Rizzo not getting enough sleep because of the sleepover... love it.
We have volleyball games officially starting this week, last week with no school, and lots of work. Summer is almost over!
