Easter, Mother's Day & a Boo Boo

It was sooo great to be back in Omaha! Even though it was a whirlwind - it was great seeing everyone! Easter was fun and we have some pictures to share. First Matt and Chris were given the duty of hiding the Easter eggs - all I know is I heard giggling and then saw them eating the candy. They shoved leaves into some eggs for the kids. nice.

And then the hunt began!

We decided to have a slumber party at Grandma Babs and Grandpa Darrells so the grown ups could play a little - of course it took a wee bit for the kiddos to get to sleep but overall I think it worked out!

Heidi as a robot - she runs around saying "Repair" in a robot voice. Funny.

All ready for Easter!

Onto the Gonzales household...

Onto Grandpa Jeff and Nana...

Now onto a boo boo... I was gone for a week in San Diego for work - come home Friday night - dogs are hyper - Heidi is hyper - Taco is laying next to me on the couch - Heidi jumps up and SNAP - Taco bit Heidi on the face. Awful. So bad.

We spent our Friday night in the ER - they cleaned it up and after several opinions - we decided not to stitch it up. It would have made the scar longer and would have dots where the needle goes in. Basically we will see how she looks after the skin heals and the plastic surgeon suggested waiting for 2 years before seeing if anything can be done. She will have to wear a bandaid for awhile and rock a scar. Keep the sun off of it for at least 6 months and neosporin is our best friend. I'm hoping she heals better than expected and that this turns out to be a minor hiccup.

Heidi was soooo good at the hospital - almost hamming it up. She doesn't mind the bandaids at all - just hates the oral antibiotics that are required. That will be a challenge as we have 8 more days of it. Taco has been on his best behavior and Heidi isn't scared of him at all - but the jury is out. We are just letting the dust settle to figure out what to do.

Sunday for Mother's Day she was back in good spirits and we had an overall great day. She wanted to wear shorts - but wear her snow boots - pretty funny running around.
