On the way down - Lucy was perfect - very content - slept - little to no fussing - great.
Of course when we got into Omaha - where is the first place you go? MINGS! Lucy loved their rice and of course made a lovely mess. I sent Anne a message saying I was officially one of "those" customers. :)
We got to see a couple people on Thursday - Like Grandpa and Nana but only for a brief time.
Friday it was off to the memorial. Lucy did just fine traveling. A few - I'm-tired-and-don't-want-to-sleep melt downs but overall great. Salami seemed to help too...
The memorial was very nice and we all got to hang out afterwards for awhile. The kids had a BLAST together. Too bad Heidi couldn't be there too!
Back to Omaha!
Saturday started off fine but ended with Lucy having another
seizure. First we were able to spend some time at the Gonzales' which she got a little sleepy. Once we returned from there, she presented a fever - it spiked and well... an ambulance ride and hospital visit later, she is acting like nothing
happened. They chalk it up to a spiking fever again but we have doctor
appointments coming up to see if we need to do some more testing.
Back to normal at the hospital.
Woke up the next day like nothing happened.
Heidi and Chris were concerned back in Cleveland and sent some pictures and videos.
Lucy wanted to take a nap and chose Grandpa Darrell :)
We were able to stop by for one more visit at my dad's house.
Where grandpa proceeded to give the largest bread stick ever to her.
And just like that - we were on our way back to Cleveland. Lucy traveled great, EXCEPT for the very last flight. It was packed - hot - and delayed. Which translated to a complete melt down for the last 15/20 minutes until we were able to exit the plane. Whew. It was great seeing everyone and can't wait to come back in April!
