So that happened...

The week started normal enough... Lucy playing with some fun kids meal toys...

Heidi getting Strep...

At least the Huskers won - right?

Lucy trying on her Halloween wig and makeup...

Having fun at a Halloween party...

And then... we decided to go to the trampoline park again. Heidi could work on her jumps and tumbling and Lucy has fun jumping around.

About 10 minutes after this picture - tragedy... an employee of the trampoline park wasn't watching where he was going and stepped on Lucy's leg. It wasn't a jumping accident to my understanding - it was him not watching and didn't see little lu. It only took one step and both of her bones are broken in her lower leg. I scooped her up and off to the ER we went.

It was very rough on Sunday and Monday. She was just in a lot of pain and we couldn't seem to comfort her.

But then she was given the ok on Monday late afternoon to get a cast and then she perked up for sure. She chose purple of course and says it hurts less. She slept through the night (thank God) and so did Chris and I. We are relaxing today and seeing how she is doing. We are also going to talk to the school to see what the plan can be. She has to have this full leg cast for 4 weeks and then she will go down to a half leg cast or even a boot depending on how she is healing. She can't use crutches or use the restroom by herself. She might have to have tutors at home for a few weeks. We will see...

She even felt better enough to dance through the Chick-fil-A drive thru!

Heidi has been a wonderful big sister. She was VERY upset after it happened and through the ER visit. She was so happy that Lucy seemed more like her self last night.

Lucy is coming around and had to have her toes painted to be as wonderful as her cast... I think its silver purple...

I hope she heals quickly and can get back to being Lucy soon!
