Happy 13th Birthday Heidi! I cannot believe Heidi is 13. Yikes! In true fashion - we celebrated all weekend and ended with some delicious sushi. We did get her one of those mini Nothing Bundt Cakes, but she preferred a candle in her sushi roll instead.
Her main gifts are getting her ears double pierced and we went shopping this weekend for a few items. She also got new luggage from Grandma Babs and Grandpa D and there is a future shopping trip with Nana. This is the drawn out birthday. We also have a special dinner planned at...you guessed it...a sushi place in Disney... We are having her save her money from Grandma Gonzales :)
She also requested biscuits and gravy and Chris out did himself and they were the best yet!
Prepping for our vacation has begun! I would say I'm 80% packed - everything is accounted for - all clothes and supplies, now it is time to figure out the best suitcases to use etc. Wednesday is go time for packing!!!
We also reconfigured our kitchen to give the boys the most space as possible while we are gone. I'm putting up a play pen all around - just to make sure no chewing on woodwork occurs. Remy knows something is up but our neighbor Izzy is watching the boys and he LOVES Izzy.
So close to vacation!!!
Rizzo had his last set of shots last week. He is 5 months on Thursday and is weighing in at 6.3 pounds! He is so little and wiggly. Once we get back from vacation, we will see about when to get him neutered. He is so little, we might let him go a little longer unless he starts to not behave himself. So far so good.
Heidi got her second shot and her only side effect was hyperness... like running around - doing ab workouts and just bouncing off the walls!
At school they had dress like an essential worker - luckily we have many costumes to choose from!
Lastly - it was Beach Volleyball kick off! Her friends are doing a summer beach volleyball league on Tuesdays all summer long and they had a blast. It was beautiful and casual and fun. It felt like summer out there. Heidi was actually sad she would miss some weeks because of vacation. Here we have lived on lake Erie for all these years and I feel like this is the first time we are actually taking advantage of it!
Today is the last day of school but no one wanted to pose for pictures! I will try to grab them this afternoon! Then we are off for our LONG vacation - see you at the end of June!
